Chapter 128 A Surprise for Kael

Lira’s POV:

I get why she was being so tough and cold.

She was just doing her job, that’s all.

I could tell just by looking at her–all the workers here were high–rank werewolves with strong fighting skills. That’s why there were no bodyguards at the door, and they let me walk right in earlier.

But if I tried to force my way in as an Omega right now, I’d never make it.

I looked up, confused. A young guy was walking over–he had a wine–red coat slung over his shoulders and black skinny pants. His flashy outfit made me think for a sec before I remembered who he was.

Leo smiled and said, “Yeah, good thing you remember me. I’d be heartbroken if you didn’t–especially since I’m this handsome!” He struck a pose after he said that.

I laughed at his over–the–top “fashionable” look and said, “Yeah, I remember you.” C’mon, with a personality that goofy, I couldn’t forget him even if I tried.

I nodded. “Yeah, but I don’t have an appointment. I was just gonna call him.” I picked up my phone to dial

again.

Leo snatched my phone right out of my hand, raised an eyebrow, and said, “Why bother calling? The front desk girl just doesn’t know you. C’mon, I’ll take you up. Kael’ll be stoked you’re here.”

I smiled and answered, “Just got here. I ran into Leo downstairs, so we came up together.” I pointed to the guy next to him, whom he’d totally blown off.
