Howl of Destiny: Alpha Lira's Legend novel Chapter 155

Chapter 155 Rumors and Scandals

Lira Voss’s POV:

After leaving the dimension, I sat in my room looking at the raw gemstones I’d brought back from Graymarch. My mind wandered to a certain man-Kael Thorne.

I remembered how he’d always appear the moment I was in danger, giving me total protection. He even tolerated my “Omega” attitude and all my flaws.

For a supreme, top-rank Alpha King, he’d drop everything to rush to the Silverwhip Pack just to look out for me.

It was impossible not to be moved.

Ever since he left without saying goodbye, we hadn’t spoken for a month.

I realized I was thinking about him more and more lately.

I wondered what he was doing right now.

Setting down my carving tools, I picked up my phone and navigated to Kael’s number. I opened it, closed it, opened it, and closed it again. After several rounds, I tossed the phone aside and went back to my gemstones.

With the school anniversary coming up, the campus was buzzing with club activities. Laura was constantly busy and nowhere to be found.

I enjoyed the rare peace, watching a group of male werewolves battle it out on the football field. I actually found the sport quite interesting.

Suddenly, a slender hand entered my vision, holding out a bottle of juice.

I looked up, took the juice, and cracked the cap. “You here for the game too?”

Michael Brewer sat down beside me with a smile. “Would you believe me if I said I only came over because I saw you here?”

I smiled and changed the subject. “How is your grandfather doing?”

“He’s doing great. He’s still on the regimen. Nine days left. He’s feeling so good he’s been doing combat drills with his old friends. We owe it all to you,” Michael said softly.

I nodded. “That’s good. So, graduation is coming up. Any plans?”

“I’ll probably apply for a university in the Thunder Pack. My grandfather is getting older, and I don’t want to be too far away. Plus, that’s where the Alpha King’s family is-the strongest Pack. The resources there are top-tier,” Michael said casually.

I knew enough about the Brewer family to know things were messy. Michael had a lot on his shoulders. Even though Rick Brewer had been kicked out of the Pack, a man like that could snap at any moment. He

was a loose cannon.

“The Brewer family looks calm on the surface, but there’s an undercurrent. You should deal with those threats permanently as soon as possible.”

I wasn’t one to meddle, but since I held 20% of their shares, giving Michael a heads-up was just good business.

Michael didn’t look down on me for being an Omega “meddling” in his business. Instead, he looked at me with genuine gratitude. “I know. Thank you.”

I joked with a light smile, “No need to thank me. I still have that 20% stake. If you guys go bankrupt, where am I going to get my dividends?”

Michael just shook his head with a helpless laugh.

I didn’t say anything else; I just gave him a wave and headed out.

After school, Sally suddenly cornered me with a teasing look. “Alright, Lira, spill. What’s going on with you and Michael Brewer?”

I looked at her, confused. “What do you mean?”

Sally raised an eyebrow and handed me her phone. “Take a look. The thread about you and Michael is officially the number one trending topic on the school forum.”

I took the phone. The headline of the top post blared in my face, “Lira Voss and Michael Brewer: Secret Romance Exposed!”
