Howl of Destiny: Alpha Lira's Legend novel Chapter 160

Chapter 160 The Kidnapping

Lira Voss’s POV:

I looked at the men and let out a cold snort. “You “invited’ me here and you don’t even know who I am?”

The leader’s wolf-eyes flashed with a momentary surge of murderous intent.

He gave a dry chuckle. “You’ve got guts for a low-rank Omega girl. Coming here alone and talking to us with that attitude.”

“Cut the crap. Where’s my friend?” I snapped, done with the small talk.

He jerked his chin to the side, and two rows of men in black threw open the warehouse doors.

I walked straight in. The vast space was filled with over a dozen men. The one in the lead had a predatory look in his eyes, and his wolf spirit felt incredibly powerful. Victoria went into full combat mode.

He looked at me with a wicked grin. “Hello, Miss Voss. I apologize for the dramatic invitation. Please, forgive us.”

“Where is she?” I demanded.

“Don’t worry. As long as you come with us, I guarantee they’ll be returned safely.”

I glared at him. “Your word is worth nothing. Let me see them now!”

When he said “they”, I realized they had more than just Sally,

I couldn’t figure out how these people knew who I was close with at school.

He was silent for a beat before signaling his men to bring the hostages out.

My stomach dropped when I saw Sally and Virginia!

They were tied

up and guarded by several men. When they saw me, their faces were etched with panic.

“Lira, run!” Sally screamed. “They’re here for you!”

I quickly checked their scents and realized they weren’t injured, which let me breathe a small sigh of relief.

“I’m okay,” I said softly, trying to calm them down. “Don’t worry.”

“How did you both end up here?”

Sally started to relax a little under my gaze. “I was waiting for you, and Virginia was waiting for her driver, so we were just chatting.

Then Chloe Taylor from your class showed up and started talking trash about you, so I started arguing with her. Next thing I know, I’m waking up here.”

I pieced it together instantly. Chloe had set the trap.

That absolute b*tch! If I weren’t worried about my plan and keeping my identity a secret, I’d have

leashed my dual-wolf spirits and ripped her to pieces!

ached my fists, forcing my rage down. I looked at the lead kidnapper. “Let my friends go, and I’ll come

you.”

ere were too many people here. If I were alone, I could escape easily, but with Sally and Virginia in their ands, I couldn’t risk exposing my power without putting them in danger. I had to play along for now.

The leader thought it over for a moment. “Fine. We’ll release them once you’re secured with us.”

“I said I’m coming, and I am,” I spat. “What, are you afraid of a low-rank Omega?”

“We just want to make sure the job is done,” he replied coolly..

He wasn’t being overly aggressive, and I realized their only goal was me.

I nodded. “Fine. I’m yours.”

I looked at Sally and Virginia. “They’re going to let you go. Go straight home and don’t worry about me. Just cover for me at school.”

The men led me out through the back of the warehouse.

I was surprised to see a helicopter waiting there.

Once we were on board, the leader took my phone and bag. After that, they were like statues-no matter how I tried to prod them for info, they stayed silent.

I knew almost nothing about them.

But based on Victoria’s scent analysis, they were a different race of werewolves. I suspected they were connected to those Maynard Continent nobles from the Anniversary.

As for where they were taking me and why, I just had to wait and see…

We flew for nearly 10 hours before the helicopter finally touched down.

As I stepped off, I saw we were surrounded by sharp, Gothic spires.

It was a small, secluded area-more like a private village than a town.

The air here felt completely different from our continent, and Victoria and Lily were both on a knife-edge, ready for war.
