Howl of Destiny: Alpha Lira’s Legend
Chapter 168 Kael’s Gambit
Lira Voss’s POV:
Finished
Azure spoke quickly. “You have to go into deep meditation in the space to suppress the energy with your will. It’s going to take time. Master, your body can only stay outside for 12 more hours. After that, the dimension will lock you out to stabilize.”
“How long will it take?” I asked.
If this was going to take a while, I needed to make arrangements. I couldn’t just vanish and leave Serena and the others to worry.
Azure looked troubled. “It depends on your recovery. Maybe a year or two… maybe five or six. It all depends on the size of the vein.”
I took a deep breath and centered myself. “Fine. I’ll be back within 12 hours.”
I couldn’t stay here; if I just disappeared in the middle of the woods, Leroy might go after Sally and the others again…

I didn’t care about his mood. I went straight to the point. “When are you letting me go? I’ve done what you asked.”
“The men will hit the gems by tonight. My job is done, so have someone fly me back. I have classes.” Leroy stared at me, his dark eyes filled with a new level of scrutiny and suspicion.
After a long silence, he spoke in a low, dangerous voice. “What is your connection to the Thorne family? Specifically to the Alpha King?”
“The Thornes?” The thought of Kael sent a sudden wave of warmth through me
Before I could answer, Leroy let out a cold, mocking laugh. “I didn’t realize a low-rank Omega girl could

command so much attention from the elite. I really did underestimate you?
I crossed my arms, completely unfazed by his sneer. “You wanted me for my skills, didn’t you? Why shouldn’t other people want me too?”
Besides, you already knew I was in Graymarch with Reginald Cox Clearly. I’m in high demand
