Isla’s assistant paused for a second, then scoffed, her voice dripping with desperation. “Look, Isla is doing you a favor by showing up at the Four Seasons Group in person. Do you have any idea how many packs are begging for her to represent them?”

Isla stood there like a peacock, throwing me a look of pure disgust before running a hand through her long hair.

I let out a cold laugh. “Then I’m truly sorry, because the Four Seasons Group is officially passing on any collaboration with Miss Bennett. We have standards when it comes to the acting skills of our talent.

“What did you just say? You dare question my acting!” Isla’s face twisted in rage as she bared her sharp fangs at me.

Rodney’s eyes flashed with a feral wolfish light as he stepped forward to put her in her place, but I held up a hand to stop him.

Isla shot me one last venomous glare before storming out. Her assistant followed close behind, pausing only to hiss, “You’ll regret this!”

Serena patted Rodney’s shoulder and sighed. “Whatever. Let’s head up; it’s getting crowded down here.”

Serena looked up, her brow furrowing. “What about school?”
