Chapter 179 Lira Krom in the Headlines
Lira Voss’s POV:
Kael left for the Thunder Pack.
But because I’d made a scene at the airport, some reporter caught me on camera. The intern was already losing its mind.
I didn’t care. Once I got back to the office, I went into full-on beast mode, working day and night.
New product launches, the jewelry startup… the pile of work was endless.
It was exhausting, but I loved the grind. It made me feel alive.
While I was buried in files, Kael called.
I answered with a grin. “Kael! You made it?”
His warm chuckle vibrated through the phone. “Yeah, arrived a while ago. Just got back from the hospital. I missed you, so I had to hear your voice.”
A surge of heat rushed through me. “How’s your grandfather?”
“He’s stable. Don’t worry too much.”
“Good. Give him that pill the second he wakes up. I guarantee he’ll be back on his feet in no time.” I was more than confident in my work.
Kael laughed softly. “I’ll give it to him tomorrow. So, what are you up to right now?”.
I looked around my room, which was a disaster zone of discarded clothes. I sighed. “Cleaning out my closet. I’ve been gone for two years, and nothing fits. It’s a mess.”
Kael’s tone immediately turned protective. “Why aren’t you staying at my estate? The butler and staff are there to take care of you. I don’t like you living alone.”
“I’m almost an adult, Kael. I’ve lived on my own before; I can handle myself.” He really didn’t need to baby me.
I wasn’t some fragile low-tier Omega; I was a future Alpha with twin wolf souls.
Even without that, the hell I survived in the Brookstone Pack and my training in the Hidmoon Pack meant I was tougher than most high-rank wolves.
I could handle a little laundry.

Kael’s voice dropped an octave, turning persuasive. “Lira, please? Stay at the manor. It only fee like a home when you’re there. I want a home to come back to.”
That did it. My heart melted instantly, and I found myself nodding. “Fine. I’ll move back
tomorrow.”
After we hung up, I noticed a post trending on my feed.
The headline was huge, “Lira Krom Spotted at Silverwhip Airport After Two Years!”
Underneath was a photo of me. My hair was a mess from running, but it didn’t ruin the shot; it just gave me this raw, effortless look.
The comments were a war zone:
[OMG! I know her! She’s the girl who went viral for the violin solo two years ago. People said she was the secret influencer, L!]
[Wow, she’s breathtaking!]
[Looks aren’t everything. I went to school with her-she’s just a low-tier Omega.]
The notifications were hitting six figures.
I rubbed my temples and let out a long breath.
I’d been asleep for two years, and clearly, my wolf instincts had dulled. I didn’t even realize I was being followed.
Rodney walked in, already scrolling through the same news. He grinned. “Boss, with a face like yours, it’s a crime not to be famous. Just lean into it. It’s great PR for our entertainment division.”
“Ugh. I thought people would have forgotten me after two years. Now everyone knows I’m back.”
Rodney shrugged. “It’s already out there. My advice? Just play the part.
“You’re still signed as a singer under our label as ‘L. We can control the narrative from here. No one will be able to dig deeper than what we allow.”
I nodded. Rodney handled the entertainment side; he knew his stuff. “Fine. Do what you have to do.”
