Between the launch of the new pharmaceutical line and the foundation of the jewelry subsidiary, Lira was practically living at the office, grinding through the workload day and night.

The staff at Four Seasons were buzzing with questions about the Chairwoman’s sudden exposure, but nobody dared to breathe a word of gossip; they knew better than to speculate about the higher-ups while the company was in high gear.

There were still a million fires to put out in the Thunder Pack, which meant Kael Thorne would have to remain at the heart of the Alliance for a while longer.

Lira felt a pang of guilt but mostly understanding; she knew the weight of the commercial empire he carried, not to mention his duties as the Alpha King of the entire Pack Alliance.

The fact that he had sidelined so much of his own life just to stay in Silverwhip and look after her moved her more than she could put into words.

“Don’t worry about me, Kael. I’m more than capable of taking care of myself.”

Kael sat at his mahogany desk, his eyes locked on a photo of Lira on his monitor as a soft, rare smile tugged at his lips. “I know, but remember to miss me. And I don’t care how busy you get-don’t you dare skip a meal.”

Lira chuckled softly. “Got it. And hey, that case I specifically for you, so make sure you take it.”

After they hung up, Kael pulled the small case from his pocket; sure enough, a single blue pill remained. He didn’t hesitate for a second before popping it into his mouth.

As the energy surged through b

Gary stepped into the office and paused, seeing Kael absentmindedly rubbing the signet ring on his thumb with a distant, tender look in his eyes-he was clearly thinking about Lira again.

T Ever since that ring appeared on Kael’s hand two years ago, fiddling with it had become a subconscious habit, a silent tell of his devotion.

Gary set a stack of files on the desk and cleared his throat. “My King, these are the priority documents that require your personal seal.”

Kael snapped back to reality, his face instantly returning to its cold, regal mask as he took the tiles. “Bury the news about Lira. And send a clear message to the media: any mention of her name must be cleared by me first. If they leak so much as a pixel without my consent, they can consider their careers over, Given the current trajectory of Four Seasons Group, Lira couldn’t afford to be a tabloid target. “Understood, Sire. I’ll handle it immediately,” Gary replied with a sharp nod before exiting the room.

    Chapter 121 The King’s Protection

    Lira Voss’s POV:

By the time I finished the launch prep and got the jewelry branch on its feet, the month was almost over- only four months left until the big move to the Thunder Pack.

Time was flying, and whenever I thought about the Voss family in the neighboring Brookstone Pack, a cold sense of anticipation settled in my gut; I hoped they liked surprises.

Moving to the Thunder Pack was the final chess move-it put me right on the doorstep of the Brookstone Pack, where I could monitor every breath the Vosses took and plan my revenge.
