Chapter 54 Payback Time

Lira’s POV:

The guy swallowed hard, his voice shaking. “A woman named Christine told us to do this.

“She gave us 100 grand. Told us to rape you, film it, post it online, and mess up your face. Said she wanted to run you out of town–so you couldn’t stay in the Silverwhip Pack anymore.”

“Christine?” I never saw that coming.

If he hadn’t brought her up, I would’ve totally forgotten she was even alive.

Guess I never should’ve saved her at that party.

I clenched my fists tight and then let them go. I turned to the guy, my voice cold as ice. “Call Christine. Tell her to come to the spot you were gonna film at. Then do to her exactly what she told you to do to me!

“If I like what I see, I’ll let you go. If not…”

I narrowed my wolf eyes at him, giving him a warning.

He shook like a leaf from the strong power I let Victoria let loose. He didn’t dare say a peep. He pulled out his phone right away and called Christine.

The phone rang twice before she picked up.

A familiar, sassy woman’s voice came through. “Timothy? How’s it going with the job?”

Timothy Malcom glanced at me, petrified.

I gave him a look, telling him to keep going. He took a deep breath, then faked a calm voice. “Ms. Malcom, we got it done. She’s still here. You wanna come take a look?”

When Christine heard that, she got so excited she could barely sit still.

She answered in a rush, “Hell yeah! I’m on my way right now!”

Then she warned him again. “Don’t let her slip away. Keep a close eye on her. Now we’ll see if that lowly Omega dares mouth off to me!”

She hung up the phone right after that.

I glanced at the guys, like it was no big deal.

“Now we wait for Christine. Then you boys put on a show for me.”

Christine’s POV:

When I heard they’d caught Lira, I was thrilled. I wanted to run right over and watch her suffer…

When I got to the warehouse we agreed on, everything was way too quiet.

I pushed the warehouse door open softly. It was pitch black inside.

I frowned, yelling, “Timothy? Where the hell are you guys?”

As soon as I finished talking, the whole warehouse lit up like day.

When my eyes got used to the light, I saw her right away. A super pretty but familiar girl, standing there like nothing was wrong.

It was Lira!

And Timothy and the others were on their knees nearby, heads down, shaking like leaves.

What the hell was going on here?

I held Sun in my arms, staring at Christine, who was standing not far off. I smiled lazily. “Long time no see, Ms. Malcom.

“Surprised by our little get–together today?”

Christine lost her temper right away. “You bitch! What cheap tricks did you pull to get Timothy and the others to listen to you?”
