Chapter 64 Lycan King’s Protection
Lira’s POV:
That familiar scent hit me right away–filled my senses in a heartbeat!

He held me tight in his arms. Breathing in his scent made me feel safe, but Victoria was acting up bad inside me.
All of a sudden, weird feelings flooded my chest. My nose felt tingly, and I got this urge to cry–like tears were gonna spill any second.
Kael’s deep, sexy voice whispered in my car, “Aren’t you always like a wildcat with me? How come you let people walk all over you out here? I can’t even bear to be mean to you.”
I looked up, following everyone else’s gaze to him.
He was just as handsome as ever–his face was chiseled, totally stunning. He had on a sharp black suit. The watch on his wrist glinted cold, and the green cufflinks on his sleeves screamed how noble he was, as a Lycan King. The vibe he gave off was both addictive and scary.
Everyone around stared at him, totally mesmerized. They started buzzing excitedly.
“He’s so hot! Like, really hot! How can someone be that good–looking?!”
“Yeah, who is this guy? I’ve never seen him before.”
“His vibe’s so strong–my wolf spirit is hiding, too scared to come out…”
Chester walked over, being polite. “Can I get your name, sir?”
Kael didn’t even glance at Chester. He took a coat from Gary’s hand and draped it over me, then slung his arm around my shoulders.
Only then did he turn to Chester and say, “You’re not good enough to know who I am. But since Lira saved your family, and she got disrespected this bad at your place–don’t you owe her something?”
Kael’s voice was calm, but every word sounded like a top boss–like he wasn’t asking, he was demanding.
Chester hurried to speak, looking respectful. “You’re right–it’s our fault. Don’t worry, the Wilson family will fix this for Lira, I swear.”
That’s when I snapped out of it and looked at Kael. “Why are you here?”
Kael looked at me softly, reached out, and gently flicked my nose. He smiled. “C’mon, I missed you. So I came looking for you.
“Never thought I’d walk in and see you getting picked on.
“You’re so tough with me. Why are you so soft out here? How am I supposed to leave you alone? From now on, no matter what goes down, fight back if you’re mad. If you can’t win, I’m here. I’ve got you.”

He said it like it was obvious, his eyes full of softness and affection. My heart skipped a beat, hard.
Victoria’s weird urge to get closer to him made me confused and a little on edge, too.
Finished
I was still thinking about it when Sandra–who’d been knocked down by Kael’s power–stumbled back to her feet. She screamed at me, “You little bitch! You’re so young, and you’re already flirting with every guy you see! Barbara was right–you’re nothing but a tease!”
After yelling at me, she turned to Kael and ratted me out, saying, “Sir, don’t let this bitch fool you! She tried to steal my daughter’s mate before, and now she’s messing around with you. Who knows how many guys she’s lying to at the same time?!
“She’s pretty, but she’s just a low Omega–so shameless…”
Sandra was gonna keep going, but Kael’s amber wolf eyes suddenly shot her a cold stare.
Then he lifted his hand and slapped her across the face–hard.
Even I was caught off guard by his sudden move.
Everyone around gasped.
