Mr. Lee walked up to Sophie and gave her a slight nod.
“Manager Chandler, I brought everything you asked for.”
“Then please show us, Mr. Lee.”
Sophie stepped back, leaving the podium to him.
Mr. Lee lifted the bundle in his hands and swiftly untied it.
The moment the fabric was revealed, the designers all gasped.
It was a cloth fresh from the factory, resembling both satin and silk.
Its color was striking–orange blended with teal, a fusion of warmth and coolness, like the clash of fiery sunlight with fresh spring breeze. Just one look evoked the season of early spring.
Though the hues came from opposite spectrums, they merged flawlessly, leaving no trace of transition–utterly harmonious.
One designer couldn’t hold back and rushed up for a closer look.
“How is this blend even possible? There’s not a single visible seam!”
Mr. Lee explained, “Yesterday, Manager Chandler messaged me for a long time with a new idea for a dye–blending method. We worked overnight–and succeeded.
“At first, I thought her request for special fabric was unrealistic. I didn’t expect her method to actually work!”
The designer’s eyes glowed with awe, glued to the cloth.
Many thought fashion design was only about bold concepts, that the fabric itself didn’t matter.
But true veterans knew–an exceptional fabric could ignite a designer’s inspiration.
“Mr. Lee, how much of this fabric do you have? I want to reserve it now–I already have a design in mind!”
At that, the others surged forward.
“No, save some for me! I’m planning an entire series with it.”
“My designs show off fabric better than anyone’s–this has to be mine!”
Mr. Lee was swarmed, overwhelmed by their eagerness.
“This is the only piece for now. It was Manager Chandler’s creation. How it’s used is up to her.”
Instantly, the light in their eyes dimmed.
They knew–they’d treated Sophie terribly. How could they now beg her for the very fabric she had designed?
Sophie’s voice was calm. “Sit back down. Mr. Morgan is still here.”
Startled, they scrambled back to their seats.
“Please excuse them, Mr. Morgan,” Sophie continued evenly. “Designers can’t help reacting when something sparks inspiration. Honestly, long time since I’ve seen this fire in their eyes.
“I hope you won’t hold their excitement against them.”

Chapter 125
The room went still. Everyone’s nerves tightened – Marcus was notoriously set about discipline. Forgetting themselves in front of him was unforgivable. Surely, he wouldn’t let them off.
Bat Marcus’s lips curved in a faint smile. “This is good.”
The designers‘ pupils shrank. On the surface they remained calm, but inside, sock raged.
Not only had he not punished them–he’d praised them.
Were they dreaming?
“Thank you, Mr. Morgan.”
Sophie took the fabric from Mr. Lee and began her presentation.
“To be honest, aside from this cloth, our department has nothing else to show this week.
“Because the drafts you’ve turned in lately didn’t even pass my review. If I couldn’t approve them, I saw no reason to present them to Mr. Morgan.”
Her tone carried no blame, but shame weighed heavy on every designer.
“As your manager, I know this situation is partly my fault.
“And yet, I’m not angry. On the contrary, I’m glad to see you still have pride.
“As designers, we should be judged by our abilities, not cowed by criticism. We create because it’s in our blood.”
She paused, then continued.
“That’s why I’ve been studying fashion design nonstop these days. My experience is limited, but I believe my ideas are as strong as anyone’s.
“In design, what matters most is originality, not degrees or years of work. Don’t you agree?”
Her eyes shone with sincerity and fire.
The designers met her gaze, then nodded firmly.
The fact that she had produced such a fabric in such a short time already proved her talent far outstripped theirs.
Their experience was nothing compared to raw genius.
Sophie smiled, bright and confident.
Marcus watched silently, watching her endure, struggle, and finally shine–until the whole room yielded to her.
A glimmer lit his dark eyes. He finally understood why Sophie’s work won hearts everywhere.
