Chapter 186
Could Sophie really be Liora?
The thought flashed across Celine Wallace’s mind, and she quickly shoved it down. She refused to accept that possibility. She had mocked Sophie to her face while worshipping Liora in the same breath. If Sophie really was Lio, then everything she’d said and done before would make her the biggest fool of all.
Celine didn’t dare think further. She cast her vote firmly for the design on the left.
When the voting ended, Sophie and Lena stood at opposite ends of the stage. Julian took the center as host.
“Everyone has cast their anonymous votes. The design with the most votes will be recognized as the true work of Liora. And the designer behind it will be acknowledged as the real Liora!”
“No more suspense–we’ll announce the result now. The spotlight will stop on whoever won the most votes. Let’s see who it is!”
As Julian finished speaking, the lights dimmed. A single spotlight swept slowly back and forth between Sophie and Lena as tense drumbeats echoed through the hall.
Everyone held their breath. They all knew the light would stop on Lena–but still, their hearts pounded.
“Why is this music dragging on forever? Just stop the light already, I’m going to die of nerves!”
“Long live Liora! I can’t believe I’m about to witness the moment her true identity is revealed. Lena is definitely Liora!”
“Wait–no, something’s off. The light…it stopped on Sophie? Who the hell voted for that Frankenstein design?”
The live chat froze. In the hall, gasps spread like wildfire. Nobody had expected Sophie’s so–called “Frankenstein” design to win the most votes.
“Rigged!” someone shouted.
The audience roared in agreement.
“Rigged!”
“Rigged!”
“Rigged!”
Sophie said nothing, only nodded at Julian.
A second spotlight lit up behind her, revealing the design that everyone had asumed was Liora’s.
For a heartbeat, silence fell over the hall.
The chatroom also went dead quiet. That design–universally agreed to be Lio’s work–had been Sophie’s all along? Sophie was Liora?
Sophie stepped forward, projecting a document onto the giant screen.
“This is the legal notarization for the artist name Liora. Compared to a phone umber or a social media account, I think this state issued certification carries a bit more weight.”
“Believe it or not, it doesn’t matter. Without a doubt–I am Liora.”
Her cool voice cut through the air. Reality hit hard.
The fans who had scorned her froze in shame. The woman they’d ridiculed again and again turned out to be the very genius they had worshipped for

years. Shame smothered any joy of seeing their idol revealed.
Lena, standing in the spotlight’s shadow, felt her world collapse. Her cobbled gether “design” looked like nothing but a bad joke now. She had tried to fake it by stitching together fragments of Liora’s old work. Now her plan ha blown up, and she looked like a stray dog.
Will Liam despise me after seeing this?
“Lena, I’m suing you!”
The doors burst open, and a slim young woman stormed inside.
“Lena, you stole my ideas back in school! You plagiarized my work, stole my title as top graduate, and when I exposed you, you tried to buy me off!”
“Lena, I am officially filing a lawsuit against you. I want back everything that’s mine!”
Her voice broke into sobs. It was Jennifer Ling.
Lena panicked, screaming, “Shut up! That’s slander! Lies!”
Jennifer held up documents. “These are my proofs. I want every one of you here to be my witnesses today. Give me justice!”
“I know I come from nothing. Alone, I could never fight the Morgans. That’s why I chose this moment–before the eyes of the world–to expose her crimes.”
“Please, help me tag Riverland University’s administration so they’ll investigate her so–called ‘work.“”
The live chat erupted. Tens of thousands of viewers tagged the university’s official account. Within minutes, the account entered the stream with a reply:
‘We will immediately review all of Lena’s work since admission. Any evidence of plagiarism or cheating will be punished without mercy. We welcome public supervision and promise to protect the rights of all original designers.
Jennifer broke into tears, bowing deeply toward the camera.
“Thank you. Thank you so much…”
She looked at Sophie through watery eyes. Sophie gave a slight nod. No words were needed.
If Lena was going to be destroyed, it would happen here–in the grandest art Hall in the world. Only then would she understand true ruin.
“It’s all your fault, Sophie!”
Lena shrieked like a madwoman, lunging at Sophie with a sharp hairpin in hand.
“I’ll kill you!”
Sophie didn’t flinch. With a flick of her wrist, she caught Lena’s arm. The hair clattered uselessly to the ground.
Sophie smirked, her eyes gleaming,
