Chapter 158
Darion’s cold, piercing gaze fixed on Wendy’s face.
A chill ran down her spine, and an invisible pressure pressed down on her. Wendy instinctively recoiled.
She almost dropped the baseball bat.
“So this was your idea?” Darion’s voice was cold as ice.
He thought about how Thalia was always hanging out with Wendy.
Those two were always together, and he never had a clue what wild plans they were coming up with.
This wasn’t the first time something like this had happened.
One time, after he got back from a business trip, Thalia was standing there with a whip, smacking it lightly against her palm as she told him to take off all his clothes.
She just wanted to see if there were any traces left by another woman on his body.
That night, he left quite a few marks on her himself, and the whip got thrown under the bed by the end of it.
While Thalia was still asleep, her phone buzzed with a message from Wendy.
Wendy: [Hey Thalia, did you have fun? Did he get on his knees? Did he beg for mercy?]
Darion’s face darkened instantly.
‘So this was one of Wendy’s crazy schemes, he thought.
What, am I just their plaything now?’
So now, whenever Darion saw Wendy, he couldn’t help but suspect she was behind all those wild schemes to help Thalia with her divorce. There was no way Thalia would ever come up with something like sending another woman his way. That had to be Wendy’s idea.
“Don’t just throw accusations around!” Thalia retorted.
Thalia added, “This has nothing to do with her. It was all my idea!”
Darion’s gaze locked onto her face again. Her eyes flashed with anger, her breathing uneven as he pinned her to the couch. Her hair was tousled, and the redness at the corners of her eyes only made her look more alluring.
His Adam’s apple shifted as his voice dropped even lower. “You really think throwing another woman at me is going to make me agree to a divorce?”
Thalia’s lashes kept trembling, betraying her nerves.
Darion leaned in, his breath warm against her ear, and what he said next crushed her hopes.
“Even if I end up in bed with another woman, I’m still not divorcing you, Thalia. So stop dreaming.” Darion said, his tone cold as ice.

With that, he got up and strode out
Thalia’s face went blank She was sprawled on the couch, not moving for ages.
Wendy rushed to shut the door, then came back and helped Thalia to her feet. “Thalia, what did he say to you?
Thalia glanced at her. I really was too naive, wasn’t I?’ she thought aloud.
Wendy looked completely lost.
Thalia took a deep breath and managed a weak smile for Wendy. “I’m okay, really. You should get some sleep. I’m heading to
work.”
She had to leave. She was already running late.
She hastily fixed her hair, straightened her clothes, and got up, her face blank as she walked out.
But seeing Thalia like that, Wendy just couldn’t let her leave on her own.
She hurried after her. “Come on, I’ll take you. I really can’t let you go like this.”
“Okay, okay.” Thalia said softly.
Thalia didn’t turn her down.
Wendy drove, while Thalia sat quietly in the passenger seat.
