Chapter 188
“No need to worry, Mr. Flynn. I’ll take my wife out for dinner,” Darion said, his voice cold and sharp.
Darion’s icy gaze locked onto Sebastian, and the atmosphere grew even more tense.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, then turned to Thalia. “Ms. Coleman, what’s your choice?”
Wendy pinched Thalia’s hand, subtly urging her to pick Sebastian.
Darion’s gaze, deep and unreadable, settled on Thalia’s face. He swallowed hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
For the first time in years, he felt completely unsure of himself.
She used to be his first choice.
But now, he couldn’t be sure anymore.
Thalia lowered her gaze, her long lashes trembling. After just a couple of seconds, she looked up at Sebastian. “Mr. Flynn, thank you.”
Then, she took Wendy Adkins by the hand and headed toward Sebastian’s car.
Sebastian smiled faintly and walked beside her.
Thalia.”
Darion’s low voice drifted from behind her.
Thalia kept her back straight, got into Sebastian’s car without looking back.
As the car door closed, shutting out the icy tension, Wendy let out a sigh of relief.
Sebastian asked with concern, “Ms. Coleman, is there anything you need?”
Thalia’s expression faltered for a second at his words.
She looked at Sebastian, and saw his handsome, composed features werè serious, his light brown eyes locked onto hers.
His meaning was clear: if she ever ran into trouble, he’d be there for her.
Thalia’s fingers curled slightly as she gave him a small smile and shook her head. “No, I’m fine.”
Wendy looked really worried standing beside her.
But she was just an outsider here, and it wasn’t her place to interfere.
Besides, if Darion, that scumbag, really snapped, who knew what crazy things he might do?
In the end, Thalia would be the one to suffer.
That was the last thing she wanted to see, so she bit her tongue and kept quiet.
Sebastian lowered his gaze and said, “Ms. Coleman, you helped me out before. So if you ever run into trouble, just let me know. I’ll take care of it for you. Don’t worry, it’s never a bother for me.”

Chapter 188
Thaha felt a gentle warmth in her heart, her eyes growing softer. “Mr. Flynn, thank you, really. But I don’t have any problems night now If I ever need anything, I’ll reach out to you.”
“Alright, it’s a deal,” Sebastian replied.
Wendy pinched Thalia’s arm, snapping her out of her thoughts. Thalia quickly introduced her, “Mr. Flynn, this is my best friend. Wendy Adkins.”
Wendy immediately smiled and reached out her hand to Sebastian. “Hello, Mr. Flynn.”
Sebastian shook her hand. “Hello, Ms. Adkins.”
Wendy’s palms were sweaty with nerves. She actually got to meet a big shot who’d just returned from overseas today. How cool was that!
And…
Her eyes darted between Thalia and Sebastian, and she couldn’t help but chuckle to herself.
‘Looks like my bestie might have more than one guy to choose from now.
That scumbag is ancient history!
Thalia really deserves a brighter future!’ Wendy thought to herself.
Darion stood rooted to the spot, watching the car disappear into the distance. His handsome face hardened, his features darkening with gloom.
Passersby instinctively steered clear, not wanting to risk provoking him.
After a long moment, he finally got into his car and called Ryan. “Acquire Melody Studios.”
Melody Studios was where Thalia currently worked.
Ryan didn’t really get it, but he just went along with it. “Alright.”
With the urgent order in hand, Ryan immediately put together a project team and set up a meeting with the owner of Melody Studios.
When the owner of Melody Studios heard that Blackburn Group wanted to buy them out, he was totally stunned.
Why would they want to buy us out out of nowhere?’ he wondered, still confused.
