Darion paid him no mind and led Thalia over to the couch. The guest of honor still hadn’t shown up, so any discussion right now was pointless.

Thalia couldn’t help but steal a glance at Quinn.

Darion raised an eyebrow, giving him a cool look. “Are you threatening me?”

“You lied to me first!” Quinn snapped, his voice full of anger. “You promised you’d help me find the girl from my first night, but how many days have passed? Did you even look? You didn’t do a damn thing!”

Darion chuckled softly. “Sure, I promised you, but did I ever swear I’d actually find her for you?”

“You!” Quinn’s eyes popped wide, totally stunned.

“You’re way too sly! You’re a damn fox, so sneaky!”

Darion spread his hands. “I tried, but I couldn’t find her. I didn’t go back on my word, and I didn’t lie to you. Maybe she just saw you as a hookup and doesn’t want anything more. Why are you so hung up on this?”

“She owes me!” Quinn’s eyes were stubborn. “She took my first time. She can’t just walk away! She owes

me!”

Everyone around was floored.
