Chapter 524
“Looking back, I was the one who left you at the orphanage and had reporters reach out to Trenton and Shyla. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have bothered to take responsibility for you.
“After they brought you home, you spent over ten years as the Coleman family’s pampered daughter, living in luxury. You even married Emely, the eldest son of Oakwood’s top family. So many people envied you,” Vicky sighed.
“Too bad Emely’s fate wasn’t so great. If only you’d married Darion instead, then you’d still be the Blackburn family’s honored young lady,” Vicky added.
Miya bit her lip. “Vicky, please don’t bring up the past. It’s all behind us now. Right now, all I want is for my son to survive.”
Vicky nodded. “He will. Darion will do whatever it takes to save him. Just stay out of trouble and do as you’re told, alright?”
“Alright, I got it,” Miya replied.

Darion’s mood was low, his whole presence shrouded in a heavy gloom.
Thalia noticed, but she simply withdrew her gaze, barely sparing him a glance.
Whatever he was dealing with, it had nothing to do with her.
But Diana grabbed Thalia’s hand and asked, “Thalia, what’s going on with Darion? Is he lovesick again?”
Bonnie, listening nearby, couldn’t help but laugh. “Diana, Mr. Blackburn is always lovesick, you know.”
Diana took a few seconds to process that, then said, “But lately, his mood’s been really low. He leaves early, comes back late, and he’s even more out of it than before.”
Thalia lowered her eyes. “Maybe it’s something at work.”
Diana said, “Then tell him to take it easy. There’s no end to making money. If he wears himself out, all that money won’t mean a thing.”
Thalia nodded. “Alright, I’ll talk to him.”
Just then, Darion came back, carrying an icy aura with him. He greeted Diana briefly and went straight upstairs.
Bonnie watched him go, feeling worried, but given his position, she knew it wasn’t her place to get involved.
She glanced at Thalia, hoping Thalia might check on Darion and see if he needed anything.
But if she said that out loud, it would definitely make people suspicious.
Bonnie felt torn and uneasy.

Chapter 524
Thalia was texting with Wendy. Wendy had finally wrapped up her wedding shoot, and now all she had to do was wait for the ceremony.
Jason was taking care of everything else, so Wendy just needed to keep herself looking good.
Wendy: [This is so weird. It’s just a pretend wedding, so why am I so nervous?]
Thalia: [You two know it’s fake, but everyone else thinks it’s real. Their vibes are making you nervous. It’s totally normal.]
Wendy: [Yeah, you’ve got a point.]
