Chapter 546
After hanging up. Darion turned the car around without hesitation.
Thalia asked. “Where are we going?”
Darion replied, “They’ve finished the antidote for Keith. Let’s go see it.”
When Thalia heard this, her lips tightened. She turned to gaze out the window, feeling a mix of worry and hope.

At Blackburn Manor, two cars pulled up one after another.
The bodyguards shoved Rona out of the car. Her eyes went wide as she stared at the lavish mansion and its gardens.
“Your family is loaded,” she blurted out.
Her face lit up with excitement as she turned to Darion, then announced, “I changed my mind. 150 thousand dollars isn’t enough. I want 1.6 million dollars!”
Darion’s gaze was icy as he stared her down. “If your antidote works, you’ll get every cent you ask for. But if it doesn’t, I won’t send you to prison. You’ll beg for death, but you won’t get it.”
The air around him turned frigid, his eyes cold and indifferent, a deadly glint flashing through them.
Rona instinctively took a step back, startled by the sheer force of his presence.
She shrank back a little and said, “My antidote will definitely work.”
That 1.6 million is as good as mine,’ she thought.
They all walked into Blackburn Manor together. As soon as Jadiel Pratt saw them, he had someone bring Miya Smith downstairs.
When Miya saw Thalia, her eyes briefly flashed with hatred.
Keith was still fast asleep upstairs.
Darion looked at Rona. “Give me a portion of the antidote first. I need to genit tested.”
Rona shook her head ‘No need. I promise it’ll work. If it didn’t, I wouldn’t have dared tell anyone here about it.”
“Enough talk! Hand it over!” one of the bodyguards barked.
Rona flinched, her heart pounding with fear as she glanced at Darion again. Still, she handed it over.
The bodyguards took the antidote away for testing.
The results would take an hour, so everyone had to wait.
Rona’s eyes darted around, looking shifty and sly, making everyone uneasy.
Thalia looked at her coolly and asked, “Did you come up with both the poison and the antidote yourself?”

Thalia replied. ‘Aren’t you worried someone will turn you in? What you’re doing is illegal.”

Rona just laughed, completely unfazed. “Everyone who comes to me for poison is breaking the law too. Who’d rat me out? If they did, they’d be in just as much trouble as me.”
Thalia raised an eyebrow. Rona actually had a point.
Seeing that Thalia seemed easy to talk to, Rona sidled up to her with a grin. “Hey, what’s your name? You look kind of familiar. Have we met somewhere before?”
‘Stop right there.”
Darion’s cold voice interrupted.
Rona froze, then forced a smile. “I was just chatting with her. It’s so boring just sitting around waiting.”
Darion fixed her with an icy stare, his overwhelming presence instantly wiping the grin off her face. She didn’t dare act cocky anymore.
Thalja got up and made her way upstairs.
Darion followed, watching as she entered Keith’s room and stood by his bedside, looking at his pale face.
Darion said, “Poor kid. He’s really been through a lot.”
Thalia nodded. “Yeah, he’s just a kid, and he’s already suffered so much. If he finds out the truth when he’s older, it’ll crush
nim.”
His own mother poisoned him, leaving him with all kinds of problems. Thalia couldn’t even imagine how hopeless and angry he must be.
Darion walked over to her, his voice softening. “Thalia, once the antidote works and he’s better, would it be okay if Keith tayed with us?”
