She had assumed Keith’s aftereffects would be just like Diana’s. Her reactions had only become sluggish. But she never expected things to turn out this severe.
Darion Blackburn’s eyes darkened with grief, his voice growing husky. “I’ll assemble a medical team dedicated to his case and work out a treatment plan. I’ll help him walk again.”
Thalia was at a loss for words, her feelings all over the place. Thinking of how pitiful Keith looked, she suddenly didn’t care whose child he was anymore.
His own mother had done this to him. He was already suffering enough.
If she kept being cold to him, forcing this kid to live in constant fear, he’d be even more pitiful.
Darion could tell from the way her expression changed that she was touched, even without her saying a word.
In a husky voice, Darion said, “I’m heading out for a bit. I’ll be back soon.”
“Okay.”
At Blackburn Manor.
Miya had been locked up in the servants’ room. No matter how much she yelled, nobody ever came to open the door. She only got one meal a day, and she was starving and so weak she could hardly get out of bed.
Lying there, she felt like there was no hope left in her life.
Just then, the door swung open. She scrambled to her feet, but the sudden movement made her so dizzy it took a long moment for her to come to her senses.
Darion stood in the doorway, his presence sharp and intimidating. His eyes were icy and utterly devoid of warmth as he stared at her.
Miya shrank back in fear, her face turning even paler.
“Where did you take my son? I want to see him,” Miya said, swallowing hard and forcing herself to stay calm.
“You have no right to see him,” Darion replied, his voice icy and unyielding.
Darion spoke, his tone colder than ever.
Miya kept backing away, her gaze darting between fear and panic as she looked at him. “What do you mean?”
Darion looked at her, feeling like she was a complete stranger now. She used to act all gentle and gracious, always pretending to be so understanding.
But look how it all turned out
She played the victim, tried to tear the Coleman family apart, then used her fake kindness to fool him. And now, shed stoop to anything, even poisoning Keith just to stay close to him, making sure he’d never walk agam.
Hatred flickered in Darion’s eyes. He gave a cold wave of his hand, and the bodyguards behind him stepped forward. dragging Miya up without a shred of mercy.

“What are you doing? Darion, what do you want from me? Are you going to kill me? That’s against the law! Let me go! Let me go’ Somebody help!” Miya shrieked, panic twisting her voice.
Miya fought with everything she had, but she was so weak she couldn’t budge the bodyguards. She wailed in despair, but the next second, someone slapped a piece of tape over her mouth, cutting off her screams in an instant.
Miya’s cries were muffled by the tape, coming out as nothing but choked sobs.
Terrified, she started crying, her gaze turning pleading as she looked at Darion, shaking her head and silently begging for
mercy
But Darion didn’t even glance at her. He took her straight to the basement of the villa outside the city.
The dim, enclosed space felt suffocating, and Miya looked around, unfamiliar and terrified, as she was dragged into the
room.
Darion looked at her with icy indifference. “Because of what you did, Keith will never walk again. Are you satisfied now?”
