I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 641

Chapter 641

‘R-really, really, the bodyguard stammered.

The way Thalia looked at him made the bodyguard lose all confidence.

Thalia raised an eyebrow, then walked straight to Darion’s hospital room.

Let’s see what he’s like when he sleepwalks, Thalia mused.

When Thalia pushed open the door, she saw Darion curled up on the hospital bed, clutching his head and muttering something under his breath. He looked pretty messed up.

Thalia just watched, not moving closer. Instead, she coolly took out her phone to record the whole thing.

The bodyguard behind her gaped at the scene, his eyes wide in disbelief.

Wait, seriously?

Is this really okay?

Shouldn’t Mrs. Blackburn go over and comfort Mr. Blackburn when he looks this miserable?

And then, out of worry, she’d stay by his side and refuse to leave.

But why isn’t this scene playing out the way it’s supposed to?’ he wondered.

Ahem…” The bodyguard coughed awkwardly, steeling himself to ask, “Mrs. Blackburn, why are you recording this?”

After saying that, he felt like his life was basically over.

Man, being a bodyguard is just miserable,’ he thought.

Thalia couldn’t say anything, and Darion couldn’t see a thing. If the bodyguard kept quiet, Darion would just keep going with his little performance…

If Thalia ended up recording everything, that would be seriously embarrassing.

Thalia turned around, shot him a wink, and flashed a mischievous smirk.

The bodyguard was speechless.

Why do I suddenly feel creeped out?’ he wondered.

Meanwhile, Darion was still curled up on the bed, his back to the door, clutching his head like he might break any second.

Thalia kept recording for more than two minutes, and Darion didn’t move an inch the whole time.

She couldn’t help but be impressed by his acting. He was totally committed to the act.

She put her phone away, walked over to the bed, pulled up a chair, and sat down. Then she started typing on her phone

Soon, a robotic female voice rang out in the silent hospital room.

“Darion, is this your idea of fun?”

The door to the hospital room was softly closed.

Once the robotic voice finished, the room went dead silent.

After a long moment, Darion’s hoarse voice finally broke the silence. “My eyes hurt.”

Thalia paused, staring at her phone screen, looking at what she’d just typed. Then she slowly erased the words, deleting them one by one.

‘I want you to stay with me,” Darion spoke up again, no more tricks, just straight-up honesty this time.

He turned to face her and reached out, but not knowing exactly where she was, his hand groped blindly in the air, missing her completely.

Seeing that, Thalia’s eyes prickled with sudden emotion.

Thalia blinked rapidly, her fingers flying over the keyboard in a flustered rush.

‘Lie back and stay still,” the robotic voice said.

“Thalia?” Darion called softly.

He heard the robotic voice from where she was and realized he was reaching in the wrong direction. His hand paused in mid-air, then slowly moved bit by bit toward her.

When his hand finally touched her shoulder, his fingertips trembled.

His lips twitched with bitterness as he spoke in a low, rough voice. “Thalia, right now, I can’t find you anymore. If you wanted, you could disappear from my world at any time.”

Even if he didn’t want to admit it, the moment he couldn’t touch her or sense her presence, an overwhelming panic swallowed him whole.

It felt like a pair of invisible hands were tearing his heart apart right in his chest.

She’d always wanted a divorce, always dreamed of leaving him.

And now, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

She’s still going to leave, isn’t she?’ Darion thought, his heart sinking.

And this time, he realized there was nothing he could do to stop her from leaving.

His fingertips lingered on her shoulder, then slowly dropped away before he withdrew his hand.
