Darion reached out and caught her hand in his, his voice low and soothing. “Don’t worry. We’ll find a way to treat her Even if we can’t, Diana’s always been easygoing. She’ll be okay with it.”

Thalia kept her eyes down, not saying a word.

Darion couldn’t see her face, so he had no idea what she was thinking. He instinctively squeezed her fingers a little tighter.

If you’re really worried about Diana’s health, we could let her go back home for a while. She’s been wanting to go back and visit, hasn’t she? If she stays there for a month or two, we can keep this from her for a little longer,” Darion suggested.

This time, Thalia responded. She moved her fingers, and Darion loosened his grip. Then he felt her tracing words in his

palm.

She traced: [Let’s see if there’s a treatment first. If not, then we’ll send Diana away.]

‘Okay,” Darion replied.

He gently closed his fingers around hers, keeping her hand in his.

The doctors Ryan called showed up in no time.

Darion and Thalia headed to the meeting room, listening as the specialists discussed their findings.

After running a bunch of tests, the experts were left speechless.

None of them could figure out a workable treatment plan.

The first thing they needed to do was get rid of the poison, but nobody knew what kind it was. If they messed up, Darion night never see again, and Thalia might never be able to speak again.

The problem seemed unsolvable, and the atmosphere grew tense as everyone fell silent.

Ryan spoke up, “Rona Taylor’s still in Oakwood. She’s got a real knack for poisons. Maybe the stuff came from her.”

Darion asked, “Has she managed to come up with an antidote for Keith yet?”

Ryan’s voice was tinged with regret. “Not yet.”

Darion’s tone turned cold. “So why bother with her?”

Ryan was left speechless.

Just then, an elderly professor with a head full of white hair spoke up, “Why not try traditional medicine? We could start with acupuncture to get rid of the poison, then use herbal medicine to clear out the toxins.”

Ryan immediately turned to him. “Professor Walsh, is this your specialty?”

Professor Walsh smiled. ‘I’m not really an expert at detox, but I do know someone who is. Her mom was a top traditional medicine doctor, skilled in both healing and toxins, and her dad was a brain specialist

“I happened to meet them during an international rescue mission. They were amazing Their daughter picked up her mour’s gift and started learning medicine from a young age. Maybe she can help you”

Ryan asked again. “Professor Walsh, what’s her name? Where is she now?”

Professor Walsh thought for a moment. “I think her name is Natasha Riley.”

Ryan nodded. “Okay, I’ll check it out right now.”

After the consultation, they returned to the hospital room. The mood was tense and gloomy.

Thalia sat quietly by the bed, her phone lying untouched beside her. Her clear eyes seemed empty and lost.

“Thalia, what are you thinking?” Darion asked, facing her with a hint of confusion in his voice.

She was so quiet.
