I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 680

Chapter 680 Breathless

The room was filled with sultry, breathless moans and lingering whispers. Darion’s deep, husky voice made Thalia’s whole body tingle.

The nurse tried not to dwell on it, but her gossip-loving side got the better of her. When she got back, she just had to spill the story to her coworkers.

“What’s so weird about that? They’re married, and it’s a VIP room. They can do

whatever they want,” one of her colleagues replied, totally unfazed.

The nurse blushed and said, “I’ve never heard a guy sound so seductive when he’s out of breath. Seriously, how can a man sound that sexy?”

Her colleague shot her a knowing look. “Just find yourself a boyfriend with a nice voice. And seriously, don’t even think about crushing on that guy. He’s a married man.”

The nurse rolled her eyes. “Obviously, I know that. Can’t I just appreciate a little beauty when I see it?”

The lights in the hospital room were off, and their beds were side by side. Thalia lay with her back to Darion, her racing heart finally settled after all the excitement.

She closed her eyes, just starting to drift off, when her phone suddenly rang.

It was her phone.

She sat up abruptly and grabbed her phone to check the caller ID.

‘Who would be calling me this late?’ Thalia thought to herself.

Then she saw the caller ID.

It was Diana.

Thalia tensed up, her breath tightening. She pressed her lips together, feeling the urge

to hang up.

But if she kept avoiding Diana, the old lady would definitely start to get suspicious.

‘What should I do now?

‘What should I do?’ Thalia thought, her mind racing.

Thalia whispered, “Is it Diana?”

Just then, Darion’s voice broke the darkness.

Thalia quickly responded.

Darion said, “Give me the phone. I’ll talk to Diana.”

Thalia hesitated for a moment, then answered the call and handed the phone to

Darion. She sat beside him, watching him anxiously.

“Hello, Thalia?”

Diana’s elderly voice came through the phone.

Thalia said, “Diana, it’s me.”

Darion deliberately lowered his voice and spoke gently, “Thalia’s already asleep.”

Diana paused, clearly surprised to hear his voice. After a couple of seconds, she asked, “Where are you two now?”

“South City,” Darion replied. “Did you want to talk to her about something? Should I wake her up so you can chat?”

“No, that’s alright,” Diana said quickly. “If she’s already asleep, let her sleep. I just haven’ t seen her in days and wanted to hear her voice.”

Darion’s tone was extra gentle. “Diana, we’ll come visit in a few days.”
