Chapter 711 My Poor Thalia
“Diana,” Darion said, standing up and facing her.
His tone became more serious as he explained, “Thalia and I both got hurt. My eyes are injured, and Thalia’s throat is messed up, so she can’t speak to you right now.”
Hearing this, Diana nearly lost her balance, her frail body trembling as if she might collapse.
Thalia quickly reached out to steady her, her eyes welling up with tears. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but stopped herself. She couldn’t bear for Diana to hear her raspy, painful voice.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she gripped Diana’s arm desperately.
Diana looked at Thalia, her lips quivering as she reached out to touch Thalia’s face, then her throat. Her voice broke with worry as she spoke, “Why did this happen? What really happened to you?”
She turned to Darion, her voice trembling with worry. “Darion, please, just tell me. What did you two go through?”
Darion, still struggling with his injured eyes, fumbled his way over and gently helped Diana to sit down. “Don’t worry about us, Diana. Thalia and I are going to be okay.” “How could I not be worried?!” Diana’s voice trembled with distress. “Were you two planning to hide this from me the whole time? I kept calling Thalia before, but she never answered. Was her throat already messed up back then?
‘You came back today and sent me off. If I hadn’t suddenly remembered I left something behind and caught you two, how much longer were you planning to keep me in the dark?”
After Diana finished her barrage of questions, her whole body was shaking, her head spinning. She looked like she could pass out any second.
Diana, Diana…’ Thalia cried out in her heart, desperate to call out, but her injured
throat wouldn’t let her make a sound.
Thalia placed her hand on Diana’s chest, trying to keep her from getting too worked up, then anxiously tugged at Darion’s arm.
Darion immediately turned to the servant. “Go get Dr. Riley.”
“Yes, sir,” the servant replied.
Natasha Riley came out quickly, and when she saw the chaos in the living room, she froze for a second, taken aback.
Thalia looked at her anxiously and gestured for her to come over.
Chapter 1 My Por Thalia
Natasha also noticed there was an extra elderly woman on the sofa. Diana’s face was pale, and her breathing was ragged and uneven.
“Hang on, I’m coming!” Natasha rushed over.
She pulled out her acupuncture needles and stabbed one into one of Diana’s acupuncture points.
As soon as the needle went in, Diana’s breathing eased. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she hugged Thalia tightly.
“My poor Thalia, how did you end up suffering so much?” Diana’s voice was choked with emotion, sounding utterly heartbroken.
She had actually felt relieved before, thinking those were just dreams that didn’t mean anything at all.
But the signs had started showing up a week ago.
Thalia had stopped calling or sending voice messages. All she sent were videos and photos, and when they chatted, it was only through text.
Why didn’t I realize it back then?’ Diana thought, her heart aching with regret.
