The two massive bodyguards easily overpowered Zoe, slamming her down.

Lily's cries were utterly agonizing.

Pinned down with brutal force, Zoe was entirely helpless as she watched them drag Lily out of the room.

Only after Sienna disappeared with her daughter did the guards finally release Zoe.

The heavy door was slammed shut in her face.

No matter how loudly Zoe screamed herself hoarse, no one in this hospital was going to intervene.

A glaring sign hung mockingly by the hallway entrance.

She fully expected him to ignore it, but she had to try.

Sienna was an absolute lunatic, and Hayden was the only one with the power to stop her.

To her shock, he answered on the third ring.

"Sienna took Lily! What is she trying to do? Make her bring my daughter back right now!"

Listening to the sheer, clawing desperation in Zoe's voice, Hayden's brow furrowed.

The vicious reprimand sitting on his tongue hesitated, and he ultimately swallowed it.

When he spoke, his voice was flat, devoid of any warmth.

"I know. Lily will be fine."

Hayden glanced back at the emergency room doors; Holden was still inside.

He pushed off the wall and easily navigated his way toward where Zoe was being held.

Noticing his own guards at the door, Hayden made no move to let Zoe out.

Instead, he demanded to know where Sienna had gone.

Sienna had ordered Lily prepped for anesthesia. The doctor already had the syringe out, preparing to draw the blood.

Hayden appeared in the doorway, his voice cracking like a whip.

"What the hell are you doing?"

Sienna jumped, completely stunned that Hayden had tracked her down, though she refused to back down.

"Holden is fighting for his life! I need her blood to save him."

She didn't care about anything else anymore.

Zoe had promised back then. This girl existed to be Holden's blood bank.

Hayden's gaze cut toward the doctor, the sheer, murderous chill in his eyes enough to freeze the man in place.

"Get out."

The doctor visibly shrank back, but Sienna threw herself in front of Hayden, looking thoroughly victimized.

"You chase him off, and who's going to do the draw?"

Hayden's fury radiated off him in waves. "I wasn't just talking to him. I was talking to you, too. Who gave you the right to make this call?"

Sienna froze.
