Zoe lightly rolled her wrist, glancing at the time on her watch. "Mr. Thorne, your sweetheart has been waiting for over ten minutes. Are you really going to waste time with me? I'm a grown woman; you can't stop me from going wherever I want."

Hayden ignored her deliberate mockery, his tone flat and composed. "Legally speaking, the only home you're returning to is Blackwood Manor."

When Zoe's eyes curved in a smile, she looked like a fox—alluring and dangerously seductive. To Hayden, it was pure provocation. Thinking she was seducing him, his Adam's apple bobbed heavily.

"Legally?" Zoe echoed. "That means from now on, you're also strictly bound to Blackwood Manor." Wanting him to back off, she suppressed her revulsion, softened her voice to a purr, and hooked her finger through his tie. Right in front of Sienna's line of sight, she yanked Hayden toward her.
