He seemed incredibly smug, looking thoroughly satisfied with how he had handled the situation.
Sienna stared at that smirk, her heart turning to absolute ice.
She realized she had been completely destroyed by this very man and his flippant, cruel words.
It was downright laughable.
Four years. It had been four years, and she was finally seeing the truth with her own eyes.
"If she wants to die, let her. I won't even go to the funeral."
Finn hadn't been the one to say it.
In that exact instant, a wave of profound relief and lightness washed over her.
It felt as though she could finally make peace with the broken version of herself from four years ago.
Sienna suddenly had the overwhelming urge to laugh out loud.
But she held it back.
Her revenge was far from over; it was too soon to celebrate.
But since she had found closure, she could finally move forward without that extra weight, ready to face her battles head-on.
Sienna turned her head and looked at Finn.
Only to find Finn's eyes still glued to the screen in utter horror.
His eyes were entirely bloodshot.
A violent storm was raging inside Finn's mind.
He couldn't believe the man in the video was actually his older brother.
The older brother who had always protected him growing up. The perpetually gentle, composed brother. The brother his parents constantly told him to 'learn from.'
When Arthur had vaguely recounted the incident over the phone without any visuals, Finn had rationalized it by thinking, 'Ford probably just picked up the phone.'
But video didn't lie.
He saw it with blinding clarity!
Ford wasn't helping his younger brother deal with a problem.
He was committing murder!
"Finn," Arthur's voice was hoarse. "Your brother is not an ordinary man. You need to be careful. I'm sorry, I'm a coward. I should have said this years ago."
Arthur kept his head bowed, unable to meet Finn's eyes.
Finn said nothing.
He stood there, his back completely rigid, but Sienna could see his hands trembling violently.
She had seen those exact hands gripping a yoke in a flight simulator, steady as solid steel.
Now, they were shaking.
Sienna looked away.
