Isaac looked slightly uncomfortable.
Sienna remained silent.
Lily mulled it over for a second, then spoke again.
"Isaac, how about this? He's your friend, so go ask him if he wants to join us. But there's no free lunch here. He's on tea duty, pouring drinks, and chasing down the waiters for our food. If he's willing to be the busboy, he can stay. If not, tell him to get lost."
She shot a glance at Sienna.
"Is that fair?"
Sienna picked up her glass.
"Do what you want. It has nothing to do with me."
Her tone was utterly indifferent, and she didn't even lift her head.
Lily looked expectantly at Isaac.
Isaac hesitated.
"Come on, be serious."
"I am serious. Go ask him. Who knows, maybe he'd love to."
With a heavy sigh, Isaac stood up, walked over to Finn, and murmured the terms.
Finn didn't reply immediately.
His gaze drifted over to where Sienna was sitting.
But she wasn't looking at him.
Without much hesitation, Finn nodded.
He followed Isaac back to their table.
Once he arrived, Finn proved exceptionally compliant. He didn't take a seat.
He stood by the edge of the table, picked up the teapot, and walked around the perimeter.
He poured a cup for Lily first, speaking evenly.
"You seem to be in high spirits tonight, Ms. James. Whatever the occasion is, congratulations."
Lily clicked her tongue.
"Oh my. Hearing congratulations from Captain Fletcher himself? I am truly honored."
Finn offered a faint smile, entirely unbothered by her biting sarcasm.
Next, he poured a cup for Isaac.
Isaac gave him a subtle, sympathetic nod and took a quick sip.
Finally, Finn stopped beside Sienna.
He hovered the teapot over her cup.
Sienna kept her eyes cast downward, her thick lashes masking whatever turbulence lay beneath.
She suddenly reached out and snatched the teapot from his grip.
"I can do it myself."
The atmosphere instantly shifted from casual to suffocatingly awkward.
Lily realized her brilliant idea to humiliate Finn was backfiring horribly.
She quickly tried to salvage the mood.
"I was just kidding, Captain. You really took it seriously? Sit down, I'm not actually going to treat you like a servant."
