As she crouched by the coffee table digging for a charger, a hand reached from behind, dangling a charging cable right in front of her face.

She took it and plugged her phone in.

The screen lit up.

Finn's gaze drifted from the gauze on her forehead to her flushed cheeks.

"Eat breakfast," he said. A spread of hot coffee and warm croissants was already laid out on the table.

Sienna walked over and sat down.

She took a sip of the coffee; it was perfectly sweetened.

Suddenly remembering something, she looked up.

"What are you even doing here? This is Lily's place."

Finn pointed toward the balcony.

Following his gaze, she saw a golden retriever leashed to the railing, lying lazily on a mat. It glanced at her before shutting its eyes again.

"I took on a dog-sitting gig," Finn said.

Sienna nearly choked on her coffee.

"You? The CEO of a massive corporation is walking dogs?"

"It's Isaac's dog," Finn replied. "He's out of town on business, and Lily couldn't manage it alone, so I stepped in."

Sienna set her mug down and stared at him.

"You just walk into Lily's apartment whenever you feel like it?"

"Your bestie thinks very highly of me right now," Finn said, leaning back in his chair with a casual tone.

Sienna glared at him.

"I stay at Solstice Heights, you live right across the hall. I'm at Lily's place, you show up to walk the dog. Finn, you really have too much time on your hands."

Finn picked up his coffee, took a sip, and watched her over the rim of the mug.

"Mostly, it's just Isaac's dog being high maintenance. Three walks a day, thirty minutes each. I had no choice."

"You sound like you're suffering."

"Oh, I am." He set the mug down. "After walking the dog, I have to prep breakfast for the dog owner's wife's best friend. It's way more exhausting than flying planes."
