"You just won the bid for The Westside Project. Tomorrow, the company is going to have a mountain of tasks waiting for your approval. Focus on your work first, and when you're done, I'll make it up to you properly."
Finn rubbed his chin against the top of her head.
"You said it, so you have to keep your word. I really can't wait to have you..." The last few words were dark and husky, wrapped in intense desire.
Sienna pressed her lips together.
"Yeah."
When Finn finally let her go, he pressed one last peck to her lips.
"I'll be waiting."
Half a month later, on the day the Health Commission's interview results were announced, the sun was shining brightly.
Finn accompanied Sienna to check the rankings.
Seven or eight people were crowded around the white notice board. Sienna squeezed her way to the front, scanning the list from top to bottom before her eyes stopped on the third row.
Her name. Ranked first.
When Sienna turned around, Finn was standing just two steps behind her.
She rushed over and threw her arms around him, practically hanging off his neck.
Finn caught her, wrapping his arms securely around her waist. He pulled her entirely into his embrace, resting his chin on her head, completely unwilling to let go.
When he lowered his head to speak, his lips brushed against her hair, his voice kept incredibly low.
"First place. My girlfriend is in first place."
Across the street, Sasha stood in the shadows of the trees, her hands clenched into tight fists.
She saw everything.
She couldn't believe her eyes.
Finn was holding Sienna, refusing to let go.
