As the curtain fluttered, Lisa felt a chill run down her spine. Her fingers involuntarily dug into the wall again.
She didn't notice Logan's gaze. He was aware she was hiding behind the curtain, though he never expected her to be in such a state…
A man had once said that there were endless erotic objects out there, and a man's shirt was one of them.
"Logan," Joelle called out, noticing he wasn't moving.
He dropped the curtain and stood in front of it. "I just remembered I have something to attend to. Let's check on it another time. I'll take you home."
Joelle was taken aback. Noticing the brief, odd expression on his face, she glanced at the curtain before leaving with him.
As the sound of the car engine faded into the distance, Lisa finally emerged from behind the curtain. By then, her back was covered in a thin layer of sweat, dampening a small patch of the white shirt.
Although she hadn't opened her eyes, she knew Logan must have seen her like that.
If she could turn back time, she'd want to erase this moment.
Not dwelling on it, Lisa rushed toward the laundry room to change back into her clothes and leave.
As she passed by the coffee machine, she caught sight of her cup of coffee.
The truth finally hit her—he had known she was still there all along, from the moment he walked in.
So, all her anxiety, tension, and embarrassment during that moment were intentional on his part.
She never thought he was the kind of person who would do something like that.
She angrily changed her clothes and rushed out. However, the heavy snowfall from the previous night made it difficult to even hail a taxi. She couldn't stand being there for even a second longer.
If Logan came back and they ran into each other, what would she do then?
Lisa called Xander. He was the best choice at that moment. She couldn't ask Brandon to pick her up, given her current situation.
Now, she realized that having a boyfriend—even a temporary one—could be useful in critical times. Besides, she needed to ask him why Logan showed up last night when she had called him.
