Madly Yours (Nora Reed) novel Chapter 155

Silas pushed the door open and stepped inside.

The room was massive, decorated in rich European imperial style. Dark velvet curtains, crystal chandeliers, intricately carved furniture, and a thick Persian rug that swallowed the sound of his footsteps.

In the center sat a massive circular bed. The bedposts were gilded, and deep red velvet canopies hung down in layers, partially obscuring the view of the bed.

Around the bed, a terrifying array of tools was neatly laid out.

Leather whips, handcuffs, ropes, feathers, candles...

All meticulously arranged on the nightstand.

Silas's gaze swept over the tools, a twisted smile forming on his lips as he looked at the young woman on the bed.

To be precise, she wasn't just lying there. She was tied down.

She was a very young girl, looking no older than seventeen or eighteen. Her skin was pale, her features delicate. Her long black hair was splayed across the pillows, making her face look even more bloodless.

Her wrists and ankles were bound to the bedposts with thick leather straps, spread-eagled. Her clothes had been torn to shreds, exposing a lot of skin.

Hearing him enter, her eyes snapped open.

Those eyes were filled with absolute terror. Her pupils shrank, her lips trembled, and her entire body began to shake like a cornered animal desperate to escape, yet with nowhere to run.

"Mmph... Mmmph..."

Her mouth was taped shut, allowing only muffled whimpers. Tears slid down her face, soaking into the pillow.

Watching her, Silas's smile widened.

He walked over to the bed, staring down at her. His gaze slowly traced from her face, down her slender neck, over her collarbones, and further down...

It was as if he were admiring a priceless piece of art.

No, this was better than art.

Art couldn't feel fear. Art didn't tremble. Art didn't look at him with such delicious terror.

But this girl did.

Every expression, every twitch, gave him a sickening, borderline psychopathic thrill.

"Don't be afraid."
