Chapter 377 I’ll Go With You to See Nyra
Third–person POV:
Outside the ER, harsh white lights spilled coldly, the sting of disinfectant filling every corner -yet it couldn’t drown out the scorched–cedar scent of an Alpha on the verge of losing control.
The heavy, suffocating pressure hung like an unseen net over every pack member present.
The cold light cut across Luis’s dark face. His eyes were blood–red, a blue vein standing at his temple–fragility and pain lay bare in that instant.
He suddenly lost control and slammed his fist hard into the wall.
His whole body trembled uncontrollably; the long knuckles split against the concrete, a smear of blood shocking to the eye.
When Aaron arrived, he found their Alpha frozen, vacant, dried tear tracks stark on his cheeks, fist still bleeding—and he didn’t even seem to notice, as if the world no longer concerned him.
If not for the faint rise and fall of his breath, Aaron would have thought he’d frozen solid,
too.
Aaron stepped forward, reporting with respect: “Alpha. Through cameras and scent tracing. we confirmed someone used Maggie to lure Ms. Wiley into the storero vault door was opened on purpose. It was done by the nanny who rais confessed.
“Because she ‘ached‘ for Ms. Barkley after the apology to Luna at the gala–she said she only wanted to ‘punish‘ Luna, didn’t know she was pregnant, planned to freeze her one or two hours and then open the door.”
At that, the sharp lines at Luis’s brows shifted slightly; the cold radiating off him grew even more brutal.
Aaron asked, “Alpha, how do you want to handle it?”
After a moment, Luis’s gaze turned feral, obsessed; his low voice carried a hell–deep chill. “Throw her into the ice vault. Do not let her out
Aaron understood–pay in the coin you spent. Let her freeze to death.
He wanted to say more, but one look at Luis-ice–cold to the core, dead–still–told him the Alpha had no space for anything else.

Everything would have to wait until Luna woke.
Aaron wisely withdrew.

Luis’s lashes trembled; his eyes shifted and shifted again, his face a rush of panic and fear- his usual composure stripped away.
Erik came out, dragging exhaustion with him, and spoke slowly.
“Deanna’s condition is temporarily under control. We’re in observation. Tonight is critical. As long as she wakes, the pup should be safe. If she doesn’t…”
Erik didn’t finish. If she didn’t wake, then likely nothing would remain.
In the VIP ward.
Luis sat quietly at the bedside, eyes softened, greedily drinking in the sight of the woman on the bed. He pressed her hand to his face, trying to warm her with his own heat.
She lay there without a hint of color, lips once rosy now paper–pale; her slender, soft hand wouldn’t grow warm no matter how he covered it.
His gaze was fathomless as he stared, unmoving His Adam’s apple rolled; his voice rasped, “I haven’t even proposed yet. Aren’t you curious what the ceremony will be like?”
The ward was dead still. No answer came.
Deanna’s lashes lay downcast, casting a faint shadow–sleeping deep and
Luis let out a bitter little laugh, desolation washing his eyes. “Deanna, you’re ruthless.
“But it’s alright.” A hard resolve flickered in his eyes. “We’re fated. If you’re done with this world, then I’ll go with you to see Nyra.”
