Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 390

Chapter 390 Proposal Plan

Deanna’s POV:

After zipping up my dress, Luis gently pinched my carlobe. “I’ll go with you.”

I shook away all the random thoughts in my head and cleared my throat. “No need. Don’t you have a work dinner tonight?”

Luis didn’t even think. “I canceled it.”

Warmth filled my chest.

Ever since I came back to the estate, he had been working from home almost every day.

Now that I thought about it, he probably hadn’t gone back to the office since I was hospitalized.

I looked at him. “It’s just a charity gala. And you already assigned wolf guards to me. I’ll be perfectly safe. What, are you planning to follow me everywhere from now on?”

“Then text me every hour.”

I was speechless, but I knew better than to argue with him during this stage.

“Okay, fine.”

Then I remembered something. I looked up at him and held out my palm. “Mr. Eaton, your mate needs to shop tonight. Don’t you think you should do something about that?”

Luis smiled, pulled out a black card, and placed it in my hand.

“Go wild.”

My eyes lit up.

This was a no–limit black card–fewer than a hundred existed worldwide, and even fewer in Nordvale.

His card also had the Mooncrown Pack crest engraved on it, and he actually handed it to me.

I got on my tiptoes, wrapped my arms around his neck, and kissed his cheek. “Thank you, darling.”

Not even two seconds after kissing him, I walked out happily with the card in hand.

Luis’s POV:

When her soft kiss landed on my cheek, I froze. I touched the spot, feeling strangely unsatisfied.

She called me “Honey.”

Deanna was going to the charity gala with her tonight.

That woman actually ditched her own mate for some random outsider?

My voice went flat. “If you leak anything before I propose, I’ll gladly inform your parents about your relationship and let them arrange your marriage carly.”

“You’re actually that cruel?”

I ignored him and hung up.

Sliding my phone away, I leaned forward on the balcony railing and looked at the garden below, where the nanny was feeding Puddy.

He hadn’t been eating well lately. Even with the best food, he only took a few bites before turning his head away like a spoiled little prince.

I snorted.

Puddy must’ve sensed me staring because he looked up and barked loudly–clearly annoyed.

Ever since Deanna came back, I hadn’t allowed him near her. I even kept him from running upstairs to play.

Looking at him now reminded me of my proposal plan. So I crooked my finger at him.
