Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 391

Third-person POV:

The charity gala hall was bright and grand. Huge crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling and poured warm light over the guests. Their fancy gowns and suits looked even more dazzling under the glow.

Tonight's charity gala was hosted by the Nordvale Foundation. All donations and auction money would go to support people with disabilities.

To attract more werewolf families to donate, the organizers even allowed reporters inside.

Many wealthy women came dressed to impress, each representing their own pack or company. Donating money and showing up at charity events also helped give their businesses a good reputation.

As soon as Deanna and Violet stepped through the entrance, reporters rushed toward them like a wave.

Because of Mooncrown Corporation's recent announcement about the upcoming wedding, Deanna had become the center of attention in Nordvale.

Camera flashes fired nonstop. Dozens of lenses pointed straight at her.

"Ms. Wiley, has the wedding announcement from Mooncrown Corporation changed your daily life at all?"

"Ms. Wiley, how did you and Mr. Eaton meet? Are you getting married because of the baby?"

"As an Omega, how did you manage to win over Mr. Eaton? Do you have any tips to share?"

"Mooncrown Corporation's stock dropped this week. Was it caused by the wedding announcement? Were you aware of this?"

"Ms. Wiley, you and Mr. Eaton come from very different backgrounds. Aren't you worried about the pressure of becoming the Luna of Mooncrown Pack?"

Deanna didn't answer a single question.

Violet stepped forward and blocked the microphones with her arm.

These gossip reporters were so annoying. They loved to stir up drama just to sell magazines.

And now, even with her—a famous actress—standing right here, they ignored her completely.

It was true. Being the future Luna of Mooncrown Pack made Deanna a target of both envy and jealousy.

A few Gamma-rank security guards quickly pushed back the gossip reporters and escorted Deanna and Violet safely into the gala.

Deanna originally came tonight as a representative of Mistbane Group.

But when the Nordvale Foundation saw her name, they arranged for her to sit in the very front—under the title "Mrs. Eaton."

She figured it was just an Alpha's instinct to protect their mate.

"There's no such thing. Don't overthink," she said.

"I don't believe you! You're not even married yet, and you're already taking his side. You're being so disloyal," Violet complained.

Deanna hooked her arm around Violet's and teased, "You're always number one to me."

Violet lifted her phone and waved it with a smug grin. "Good. Because I recorded that. If Mr. Eaton ever gives me that cold death-stare again, I'm going to play it for him on repeat. Maybe 100 times."

Deanna went silent.

She really wanted to snatch the phone and delete it.

They kept whispering to each other as the staff guided them to the front row.

Not far away, they saw Victoria chatting happily with a group of wealthy ladies. Jennifer stood beside her, smiling just as brightly.

Violet snorted. "Let's see how long they stay so proud tonight."
