Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 415

Luis's POV:

I pulled the car over to the side of the road.

"Wait in the car. Tell me what you want, and I'll buy it." There were too many people here—mixed scents and pheromones everywhere. It wasn't ideal for her or the pup.

But Deanna immediately unfastened her seatbelt and opened the door. "I'm coming, too."

I frowned helplessly, but still followed after her.

We slipped into the bustling night market together.

Both sides of the street were lined with shops, brightly lit and noisy.

The pedestrian path in the middle was packed shoulder to shoulder.

Everyone carried snacks in their hands, voices swallowed by the crowd.

In the center, a group of performers dressed like fairy-tale court ladies danced, adding to the festive atmosphere.

I stepped closer, wrapped an arm around Deanna's shoulders, and half-enclosed her to keep the crowd from bumping into her.

"It feels like we've never gone shopping together like this."

Deanna said, "This kind of regular-people stuff doesn't really suit an Alpha like you."

I raised an eyebrow and guided her toward a less crowded spot. "Are you making fun of me?"

"Have you ever gone to a Capitol night market before?" she asked.

"No," I answered bluntly.

I never thought night markets were worth visiting—too crowded, too messy, and too much waiting for food.

Deanna's POV:

I looked up at him. "Why?"

"No girlfriend."

I was speechless.

Why did that sound like an accusation, as if I'd dragged him here?
