Deanna's POV:
We were officially settled into the Starlight Estate now.
I was growing more attached to it with every passing day. What captivated me most was the garden in the courtyard. It never seemed to wither, not even a little. There were roses, peonies, lavender, lilies, sunflowers, and plenty of other flowers I could not even name.
I knew the technology was behind it.
But seeing that bright, colorful garden brimming with life always lifted my mood.
Whenever I had free time, I joined the staff to trim the flowers and tidy the hedges.
One day, I discovered something that left me speechless—Luis could play the piano.
He sat at the Soncaster & Sons with that composed, regal demeanor of his, looking like he had just stepped out of a luxury lifestyle magazine. His long, slender fingers swept across the keys with effortless grace, and the music that flowed felt unreal.
Some notes surged forward like waves crashing against stone. Others trickled out like a quiet stream sliding through moss and rock.
In that moment, Luis felt magnetic. My heart fluttered.
As the last note faded, he slowly raised his head and fixed his deep, unreadable eyes on me. His lips curled into a sharp smile, and he lifted a single finger. "Come here."
It felt like something pulled me forward. I could barely hear anything over the sound of my own heartbeat as I walked toward him.
Once I reached him, he reached out and yanked me onto his lap. I gasped aloud in surprise.
The next second, his well-shaped fingers started undoing my buttons. One. Then another.
I adored the main bedroom Luis had built for us.
He had it customized with a special feature—the ceiling transformed into a clear glass dome. Lying in bed, we could see the entire night sky twinkling above us. It was dreamy. Comfortable. Beautiful.
On good weather days, I stepped out onto the vintage-style balcony. From there, I could see a familiar landmark standing tall in the distance—Mooncrown Corporation.
As the pregnancy progressed, I started sleeping longer and staying home more.
I had a team around me full-time—the nutritionist, the cleaning staff, the physician, and the wellness advisor.
Kathryn also came by regularly.
"What about this one?"
Violet gave me a curious look. "Do you think it's a boy or a girl? You're already pretty far along. Haven't had it checked?"
I shook my head and smiled gently. "No. Luis says he's hoping for a girl."
Violet let out a quick laugh. "Deanna, do you realize how many times you've brought up Luis since we got here?"
"Have I?"
"You definitely have! I can count for you if you want. You're glowing like a newlywed."
My face warmed up at her teasing.
We checked out and walked outside. The Mooncrown Corporation building stood in the distance.
Violet leaned toward me. "That tower's famous in Nordvale, right? You're a shareholder now. How about a little tour? Maybe even a surprise drop-in."
