Chapter 360
Reven’s P
I swore that night quietly, deeply, with every broken piece of moul, that the Rough King would suffer
Not loindly.
Not openly.
Not in a way that would ever point back to me.
I didn’t want his blood on my hands yet.
I wanted his power stripped.
His throne was torn from beneath him.
His name was dragged before the council like filth scraped from boot.
And he would never know it was me.
The pack was asleep when I moved.
that
The corridors were silent, lit only by flickering wall torches that cast long, warped shadows across stone walls. My footsteps were soft too soft for someone who had once been nothing more than prey. Pain had taught me how to disappear. Fear had taught me how to listen.
The Rough King’s study sat at the far end of the west wing, guarded during the day, but at night… arrogance made men
careless.
No guards.
I slipped inside and closed the door silently behind me.
The study smelled of old paper, ink, and power. Heavy shelves lined the walls, filled with scrolls, bound files, and ledgers. The large desk at the center of the room was carved from dark wood, its surface meticulously organized too organized for a
monster.
I moved quickly.
I didn’t have time to admire anything.
I went through documents one after another; trade agreements, pact border disputes, punishment records, and council correspondences. My heart sank with every page I turned.
Nothing.
Nothing that could destroy him.
My fingers trembled as frustration clawed its way up my throat.
There has to be something.
The Rough King was not clean. No alpha who ruled with that much cruelty ever was.
I moved to a locked drawer beneath the desk. My breath caught but it opened easily.

Inside were thinner nies. Older Marked with symbols instead of james.
I pulled one out
Then another.
Then
My breath stopped.
I stared at the heading, my heart slamming so hard it hurt.
An illegal record.
Something no Alpha was allowed to do.
Something that, if discovered, would not just shame him but strip him of his title. His land. His authority.
My lips parted slowly.
An Alpha is trafficking wolfless humans.
Experimenting on them.
Selling them.
Using pack resources to fund it.
My vision blurred not from tears, but from rage.
“Yes,” I whispered hoarsely. “This… this is perfect.”
My hands shook as I closed the file.
This wasn’t just leverage.
This was execution without blood.
I slid the file beneath my clothing, pressing it flat against my body, my heart racing as I turned toward the door.
I was almost free.
Almost.
The door creaked open.
I froze.
“Raven?”
Her voice sliced through the air like a blade.
Sabrina.

She stood in the doorway, dressed in a silk night robe, her dark hair loose over her shoulders, eyes sharp and suspicious. She looked from me to the desk, then back to me.
“What are you doing here?” she asked coldly.

My mind raced
She laughed sofily, humorless. “I don’t see any cleaning equipmight
“I was going to get them,” I said. “I just wanted to
Her eyes narrowed. “Funny. Because I saw you leaving this room last night too”
My stomach dropped.
“What were you doing in the Rough King’s room last night?” she asked slowly.
I met her gaze. “He called me. Asked me some questions.”
She stepped closer. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” I said firmly. “I’m not like you, throwing myself at men for favor.”
The slap came so fast I barely saw it.
Pain exploded across my cheek, my head snapping to the side.
“Don’t you dare talk to me like that,” Sabrina hissed.
Something inside me broke.
I slapped her back.
Hard.
The sound echoed through the room.
“Never lay your hands on me again,” I said, my voice shaking with fury. “I am not your
Her eyes went wide–then dark with something ugly.
“How dare you?” she whispered. “You manipulative bitch.”
Footsteps sounded outside.
Heavy.
Multiple.
Sabrina’s expression changed instantly.

In one swift movement, she turned, grabbed a small knife from the desk a decorative blade, sharp and polished and without hesitation
She cut herself.
Deep.
Blood spilled down her wrist as she gasped dramatically and collapsed to the floor. She grabbed my arm, smearing blood across my sleeve just as the door burst open.
The Rough King strode in, flanked by his men.

She sobbed, clutching her wist as he dropped to his knees beside her.

His eyes lifted slowly to mine.
Cold.
Dangerous.
“Is she telling the truth?” he asked.
I shook my head violently. “No. She’s lying. She did this to hers. I never touched her.”
He frowned. “How would she stab herself? That’s impossible.”
My chest tightened.
“You’ve been nothing but a nuisance since you came into my pack,” he continued darkly. “I was merciful once. I won’t be again.”
My heart pounded.
“I will give you the highest punishment of your life.”
Something inside me went eerily calm.
“If I’m going to be punished anyway,” I said softly, my voice steady, “why don’t I do it properly?”
Before anyone could react, I snatched the knife from the floor.
And stabbed Sabrina hard in the wrist.
Her scream tore through the room.
