Chapter 130 Warning
Tristan panicked instantly and nearly forgot his amnesia act.
Tristan moved his pink paws subconsciously and hid his whole body behind Sylas.

Gillian saw through everything clearly. Tristan might have suffered temporary memory loss at first, yet he had long regained his memories without telling her.
He kept it all hidden, clearly plotting some trick against her.
Gillian looked away and stepped forward to take the luggage for Elara.
Elara held her hand back gently. A faint smile tugged at the cold beauty’s lips.
“I can manage it myself. No need to trouble yourself, Captain Sterling.”
That gentle smile took Gillian’s breath away for a moment.
“Let us head inside, then, Ms. Locke. You must be worn out from the long journey.”
Gillian walked very close beside Elara.
“Let’s go.”
Elara nodded and went inside without refusal. She had lived here for six years and knew every corner well.
Gillian hung back a little, raised her brows at Tristan, and mouthed silently. “You are in big trouble.”
Tristan froze on the spot, utterly confused about what Gillian planned to do to him.
He feared she would seek revenge right away.
Meanwhile, Gillian had already led Elara and the rest into the building.
Tristan turned to Sylas and spoke in a worried tone. “Do you think Gillian will scratch Elara’s face?”
“Why would Mrs. Cole do such a thing to Ms. Locke?”
“Because Elara used to be Merrick’s ex.”
“Stay quiet, Tristan.”
“Sylas, you are taking Gillian’s side now? Have you forgotten who saved us? It was Ms. Locke who pulled you and me out of danger.”
Tristan waved his small paws back and forth between them.
“Have you forgotten the commander’s warning?”
One single glance from Sylas silenced Tristan completely.

He felt wronged deep down. He could not understand why Merrick would let such an outstanding female like Elara go. All those six years felt meaningless to him.
Merrick was too much.
He knew Gillian would soon sort out living arrangements for the clerics.
The top priority was to finish the work handover and arrange daily medical shifts for the eleven clerics.
“We need to get back to the medical zone. There is still plenty of work left.”
Tristan followed a few steps and voiced his doubt. “Why did Elara come back without telling anyone? Every Merrick never mentioned a word about it.”
Sylas had calmed down fully after the initial surprise.
“I have no idea. Perhaps she simply did not want to reach out to you.”
“That can never be true. She would never ignore me on purpose.”
Tristan’s voice faded slowly. Ever since he returned to Firefox City, Elara rarely took the initiative to contact him. Most messages came from his side, and she often left cold replies when busy.
He could not help but wonder if she truly wanted to keep her distance.
This thought upset him greatly.
He suddenly realized he had barely thought of Elara these days. His mind was always filled with thoughts of Gillian instead. He felt flustered and confused over his own change of mind.
He glanced nervously toward the cleric dormitory building and hurried to catch up with Sylas to leave.

Inside the cleric dormitory building, Elara stopped in front of a metal door. She scanned her identity, and the door unlocked right away.
She was about to walk in when she noticed Gillian kept walking forward and led the group toward the upper floors.
One cleric halted her steps and spoke up. “Ms. Locke stays on the first floor. Why are we heading to the second floor?”
“All rooms on the first floor are fully occupied now.”
Gillian explained in a calm tone. “Facilities on the second floor are exactly the same, so you have nothing to worry about.”
These clerics looked confused after hearing this.
“We were told only you serve as a cleric in the 9th Legion, Captain Sterling. How come all first-floor rooms
