A cyan griffin snapped toward the black cub yet caught nothing at all.

The golden griffin looked on with faint admiration. These two cubs held fine innate gifts.

The white one in particular boasted nearly flawless gene evolution.

It could fly and unleash psychic blades. Such perfect genes might fix their long-standing genetic flaws.

Countless illusory forms of the black griffin faded away. Asher revealed his real body, sharp fangs bared. and appeared right behind the group of griffins.
