"Hold on!"
Clara was seriously about to lose her mind.
She rubbed her temples and said slowly, "You look perfectly clean to me. You don't need a shower. Just sleep exactly as you are."
She absolutely refused to watch a grown man strip naked in front of her, and she definitely didn't want him asking her to help him bathe...
"Okay, Clara! I won't take a bath then!"
Teddy happily kicked off his leather shoes and took a flying leap onto the bed.
If he were a four-year-old child, jumping on the bed would barely make a dent.
But this was a grown man who stood six-foot-two and weighed at least a hundred and sixty pounds. His massive leap nearly caved the mattress all the way to the floor.
In the room next door, Jules had just finished a round of gaming when he heard the explosive crash coming from Clara's bedroom.
He immediately shot to his feet.
He was dead. Clara was absolutely furious.
It was just two bugs, did she really need to throw that much of a tantrum?
She had to be intentionally smashing things against the wall to threaten him, right?
If he didn't go over there and apologize right now, Clara was going to assign him an ungodly amount of homework tomorrow. And when he inevitably couldn't finish it, she would have the perfect excuse to torture him.
Jules paced frantically around his room.
After agonizing over it for five solid minutes, he finally decided to just go apologize... and casually drop Ethan's name into the mix to redirect her anger toward his little brother.
Action time!
Jules poured a glass of warm water first, then knocked cautiously on the bedroom door next door.
Knock, knock!
The sudden sound made Clara jump.
