“Mom!”

Holt finally snapped. “Enough! Stop talking. Let’s just end this here!”

He didn’t want to make things any uglier than they already were. All he wanted was to wrap this up as quickly as possible, get the money and the Silvermoon Pack’s territory, and then focus on preparing the ceremony to welcome Maris as his mate.

As for taking half of Laila’s fortune, that wasn’t his idea. But Maris had personally asked him to do it. If he failed, she would be disappointed.

Besides, she had a point. A weak Omega like Laila could never protect a hundred–million- dollar fortune. He was really doing this for her own good.

Once he earned more military achievements and accumulated more wealth, he would pay her back every cent.

He was just borrowing it for now.

But he didn’t dare tell Laila any of this. His conscience wouldn’t let him.

The rest of the Enclaws, including the white–robed elders, also stayed silent. They all felt guilty. None of them could twist the truth as shamelessly as Elara could.

“Alright, I understand.”

Now that Holt had spoken, Elara finally reined herself in a little. She looked at Laila impatiently. “Laila, disclose the total amount in your accounts. Don’t even think about trying to fool us. We know you have at least a hundred million in there!”

“Is that so?”

Laila replied with a cold smile. “Funny. I had no idea I was that rich.”

She had already transferred her assets to another account long ago. Even if they investigated, they wouldn’t find anything.
