Laila felt completely speechless. Did Maris really believe that just because she had the protection of the Stillmoon Sanctum, no one could do anything to her?

When Raymond heard that there were new clothes again, his eyes immediately lit up. He was still a child. His happiness over new clothes could not be hidden at all.

Once he put them on, they fit perfectly.

The outfit was made from thick, dark gray wool, lined with soft rabbit fur. It was warm without looking bulky. The collar and cuffs were trimmed with silver–gray fox fur, making his small face look even paler and more delicate. He wore matching wool pants of the same color, along with a pair of soft leather boots. The people from Snowpeak Pack had thought of everything. They even included the boots.

Raymond stood on his toes and spun around once. Then he tilted his head to look at himself in the mirror and nodded firmly, his eyes curving into crescents.

“They look great on you. You like them, right?” Laila crouched down and adjusted his collar. After these past days of care, Raymond’s complexion had improved day by day. His checks had gained some softness, and his skin had become fairer. He no longer had that sallow, scrawny look he’d had when he first came.
