If she hadn’t hidden the fact that she was an alpha, how could you possibly have abandoned her? If you ask me, Ironclaw Pack ended up like this because she brought bad luck with her. But don’t worry, Holt. I’ll help you get revenge soon.”

Her words made me frown. “What are you planning to do? You’re not allowed to go to Silvermoon Pack to cause trouble for her.”

“I’m not going to that miserable place,” Freya scoffed. “You probably don’t know yet, but I’m about to become Prince Vance’s second Luna.”

“What?” I could hardly believe my ears. “You can’t say things like that casually.”

Freya’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Princess Estelle said she would help me.”

Laila’s POV:

On Thanksgiving Day, Morgana moved into Frostwind Pack.

Samuel told me that she had already begun preparing for a grand ball. She had invited many people, but I was not among them.

It seemed she still had issues with me.

But I did not really care. I had never liked attending social events anyway.

Faulkner was so excited that his eyes seemed to tremble. His hands kept rubbing against the sides of his clothes. I had never seen him this nervous before.

I became excited as well. “Really? I’m coming right away.”

I ran all the way to the reception hall. There I saw a man sitting in a chair, dressed in a black cloak. His handsome face carried a gentle smile. The wind and snow from his journey seemed to have taken nothing from his elegance.
