Vaughn looked at her again. “Then, tell me, Laila, what brings you here this time?”

Laila lowered her head. “Your Majesty, I came to apologize,”

“Apologize?”

“Yes, Your Majesty.” Laila lowered her head. “I delayed the mating ceremony because of my own situation. I also caused trouble for Samuel, and made you come all this way for nothing”
