Chapter 270 Pay Up!
Third–person POV:
“Why do I care? I want my money returned!”
Laila’s voice turned freezing cold. “Estelle, do you really think I’m clueless? Cloria’s wasn’t losing money because the manager was stealing. You and your daughter had been scheming against Princess Morgana all along. You treated her like an easy target, like she was stupid. The manager already confessed everything. All these years, you took advantage of Princess Morgana being young and wealthy, shamelessly asking her for money to pour into investments that were doomed from the start.
“You even passed around Princess Morgana’s photo to the staff. If she ever came to the shop, they would tell her those customers were all fake, arranged just to boost appearances.”
Morgana’s cheeks flushed a deep red.
Estelle sneered coldly. “What a joke. And you trust the words of a criminal?”
“I’d believe him before I believe you and your daughter. I came tonight to settle this peacefully. Return the money, hand back the shares that belong elsewhere, and this ends here. But if you insist on pushing things, I’m not afraid of you.
“Let me make this clear. From the moment you sent that kind of thing to my mother, this was never going to end. Don’t think your status as a royal princess lets you crush me. We have a grudge, and as long as it exists, I will never forgive you. Not in this lifetime.”
Estelle’s face twisted with fury. Her hands trembled, and her eyes looked ready to tear Laila apart.
Jenna shrieked, “How dare you insult my mother? She’s King Vaughn’s aunt! Laila, I’m reporting you!”
Laila slammed her palm onto the table and snapped, “Go ahead. Make it as loud as you want. The bigger the chaos, the better. Why not expose every filthy secret of Frostfang Pack while you’re at it?”
Estelle’s expression shifted instantly. “What nonsense are you talking about? What secrets could Frostfang Pack possibly have?”
Laila’s voice dropped even colder, “None? Want me to check the back courtyard right now?”
“Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!” In that moment, Estelle was both enraged and shaken. How did Laila know about the courtyard?
Laila clenched her fist and brought it down hard. The table split into two pieces with a deafening crack, but her furious shout was even louder. “And when I wasn’t being outrageous, did you cooperate? Money! Hand over every single cent! Whoever wants Cloria’s can take it. But don’t you dare use that place to cheat Morgana ever again!”
The guards rushed in immediately, forming a barrier in front of Estelle in case Laila made another move.
“You’ve got some nerve!” Estelle stood up abruptly, staring at the shattered table as she shouted, “Laila, do you think I can’t deal with you?”
“That’s right,” Laila replied coldly. “You can’t touch me. But I can touch you. Your hands are filthy, and I have plenty of dirt on you. Do you really think all of that can stay hidden? Hidden from me? If you don’t return every cent tonight, the Justice Department can come tear this place apart. I’ll sue you for abuse and harm…”
Estelle let out a sharp scream, “Give it to her! Get the money!”

Morgana held her chest, completely shaken. Dear Moon Goddess, had Laila gone mad? She actually confronted Estelle head–on like
that.
And she won.
But what exactly was hidden in that back courtyard? How had it pushed the always composed and authoritative Estelle into such panic?
Outside Frostfang Pack.
Samuel stood beside his Beta, Luke.
