Chapter 282 Hit Her

Third–person POV:

Then came a dull thud, followed by Tiffany’s scream. Viola had kicked the back of her knee and sent her crashing to the ground.

Before Tiffany could even get up, Viola had already grabbed a fistful of her hair, forcing her head back.

Leaning down, Viola patted her cheek lightly. Her voice wasn’t loud, but every single person present heard it clearly.

“Remember this. My name is Viola Stone. If I hear even one more word out of your mouth insulting Laila, I’ll hit you every time I hear it. Next time, I’ll make sure you won’t even be able to scream.”

Silence fell over the courtyard.

Evelyn’s face shifted between pale and flushed. She was furious that Tiffany had disgraced Thunder Pack, yet equally angered that an outsider had dared to strike someone on their territory.

Lillian stood frozen, trembling uncontrollably.

Her eyes, once bright, were now filled with tears. It was like something inside her had been held back for far too long and was finally about to break.

Laila stood up. “Lillian, come take a walk with me.”

Only after saying it did she turn to Evelyn. “Mrs. Foster, I hope you don’t mind.”

Evelyn forced a smile. There was no way she would refuse. “Of course not. Lillian, go on, keep Ms. Laila company.”

Laila nodded. She walked over, gently took Lillian’s hand, and led her outside.

As they stepped out, they saw Tiffany still being held by her hair.

Her arrogance and cold elegance were gone. Clear handprints marked both sides of her face, swollen and red–Viola hadn’t held back at all.

Seeing them, Viola shoved her away in disgust, “Get lost.”

Tiffany staggered, then lifted her chin stubbornly. “You just wait. Shawn will stand up for me.”

With that, she clutched her stomach and left.

Lillian’s face turned deathly pale, and then, tears started rolling down her cheek.

Laila brought her back to her courtyard, gently wiping her tears. “You’re just going to let her bully you like this?” Laila sighed. “Lillian, you’re an Alpha.”

Lillian sobbed. “What does it matter if I’m an Alpha? I can’t beat her to death. If I do, Shawn will hate me forever.”

She wiped her tears, her eyes filled with despair. “Laila, what should I do? I love him so much. I want to be with him forever. If I had to, I’d even give my life for him! But him? He protects that omega. She’s just someone whose background we don’t even know!”

She gripped Laila’s hand tightly. “He says she saved him, but how could an omega save him? What, she just happened to be carrying a rare antidote and just happened to know how to treat fatal Alpha injuries? She’s an omega all alone in the wilderness. How can there be so many ‘coincidences‘?”

“That is too much of a coincidence,” Laila said, frowning.

Viola cut in immediately. “Then why don’t you just throw her out?” She rolled up her sleeves. “If you say the word, I’ll drag her out right now.”

Lillian’s expression grew even more sorrowful. “I tried. I really did. But Shawn brought her back himself. He even came to me and said that if I ever do that again, he’ll never come back to this home.”

Viola exploded. “Then let him get lost with her! What kind of man is that?”
