“She’s furious,” Nita’s voice purred in Laila’s mind, laced with smug satisfaction.

Laila frowned, genuinely confused by Victoria’s anger.

She hadn’t provoked Victoria or done anything to deserve this treatment.

Laila nefused to leave the car. She simply said, “Good morning, Victoria. Mind moving? We have somewhere to be.”

Victoria’s expression twisted with indignation when Laila stayed put and dared to ask her to get out of the way.

Victoria sneered, “What’s your problem? Did you come here just to watch us suffer? Or did you forget Silvermoon Pack is your home now and think you’re still the Luna of Ironclaw Pack?”

Viola lunged for the door, ready to unleash her fury, but Laila caught her wrist, never breaking eye contact with Victoria. Laila offered a glacial smile. “I don’t mind coming back to see the mess I left behind. It’s entertaining to check on all the rats still scurrying around Ironclaw Pack. At least now I know who survived.”

Victoria’s face soured as if she’d tasted poison. “Who are you calling a rat? Quit pretending, Laila. You’re here to gloat. Why not step out and breathe it in for yourself? If you love it so much, I’ll let you help clean up.”

Laila shrugged and kept grinning. “I’m not Holt’s Luna anymore, so this dump is yours now. Maybe after a little mopping, you’ll realize you were made for it.”

Victoria’s mouth opened and closed, but words failed her.

Laila added, “Let me guess, you’ve dumped plenty of your own money into Ironclaw Pack, haven’t you?”

Victoria huffed, “I want to. Holt loves me. He treats me right. I’d do anything for him.”

She glared daggers at Laila. “But you, Laila, tossed in a little money and acted like Holt owed you everything. You never deserved to be Luna here.”

Laila met her stare, then produced a dazzling, mocking smile. “Want me to recommend a neurologist? I know a great one. Dr. Rowan Sagewood. You clearly need your head checked,”

Victoria’s voice faltered, “What did I say that’s so wrong? Holt dumped you, Laila. Maybe you should look in the mirror for once.”

Laila laughed, sharp and merciless. “Holt dumped me? Victoria, your memory’s clearly off. I’m the one who broke the mate bond. I threw Holt out like yesterday’s trash, and you picked him up from the dumpster and thinks he’s a treasure. Got it? I didn’t want him, and I made sure he knew it.”

Deciding not to waste another word, Laila dropped the curtain. “Let’s get out of here.”

Stick snorted and quickly drove the car around Victoria’s

Victoria stood frozen, trembling with rage.

Victoria’s mind must have been spinning. How could she dare talk about Holt like that?

She rolled her eyes. “I’m not interested in being the subject of gossip.”

Viola nodded, smirking. “Exactly. We already destroyed her in the argument. Did you see her face? She was about to explode.”

She propped her chin up, her tone laced with satisfaction. “Honestly, fighting people weaker than me is dull. After real battles, I don’t even want to throw a punch anymore. Smacking Tiffany was pointless. Victoria? She’s not even a challenge. It wouldn’t be worth it.”
