Estelle let out a cold laugh. Then she remembered something and asked, “What about Cloria’s? Have you transferred it yet?”

Jenna’s smile faded.

“It’s already in the process, but no one has taken it over yet.”

“What price did you put on it?”

Jenna hesitated before answering, “…500,000 dollars.”

Estelle suddenly looked up. “500,000?! Are you out of your mind?! Everyone knows Cloria’s copied Bellgari’s designs. We’ve already made plenty of money. That’s enough. Sell it cheap and get rid of it before something happens and drags us into trouble.”

“Mom, I just thought we should at least earn back the big sum we gave Morgana. And our business has been doing so well. Even at 500,000, it’s still a bargain.”

“Enough!” Estelle snapped. “How many times have I told you? Don’t be greedy! Don’t forget- the gems we sold were all fake. By now, the ones from the first year should be starting to fade. If people start causing trouble, once the Justice Department investigates, it will lead straight to you and me. And the head of the Justice Department is Samuel–that disgusting man who’s been eyeing Laila!”

Seeing how angry Estelle was, Jenna could only say quietly, “Okay… I’ll lower the price.”
