Third–person POV:
Laila couldn’t help but sigh too. “Yeah…”

She couldn’t bring this up with Victoria right now. She was already mated to Holt, so whatever happened with Terrence had nothing to do with her anymore.
What confused her was this–normally, a mate bond could sense whether the other person was alive or dead. If Terrence was truly still alive, Victoria should have felt it back then.
But she still went home, and later chose to remarry Holt.
Did that mean Victoria had already felt the mate bond break and confirmed Terrence was dead?
And was that mysterious Cottontail really not Terrence after all?
Either way, it was all just speculation. The truth could only be known once Samuel returned.
However, Viola asked curiously, “Laila, what kind of person was Terrence?”
Laila thought for a moment. “He was very outstanding. His combat strength was probably about one and a half times as strong as Holt.” She paused, then added, “But in military strategy, his intelligence was probably about five times Holt’s.”
To help Viola understand better, Laila used Holt as a comparison.
Viola understood right away.
“That’s really a pity. I really hope he’s still alive,” she said with regret.
“Yeah,” Laila nodded.
She truly hoped that “Cottontail” was Terrence.
Across the entire Rydar Kingdom, there really weren’t many generals who could actually handle things
anymore.
As for Blake, who had taken over the overall command of the kingdom’s army, his ability was far below Samuel’s. When there was no war, it was fine. But if war suddenly broke out, under his leadership, the Rydar Kingdom would definitely lose.
It was a pity that King Vaughn didn’t fully trust Samuel. Because of that, he would never hand the entire army over to him.
But if Terrence was still alive, then as long as he was given time to grow, he would definitely do far better than Blake.
May the Moon Godness bless them!

After that, Laila first stayed with Raymond for a while to read, then went back to the study to learn.
Pearl was also in the study, holding a pen and studying drawing with a worried face.
Two hours later, Laila stood up and walked over to Pearl. She looked at her drawing and smiled. “You’ve improved. This pig you drew actually looks pretty good.”
Pearl froze for a moment, then said quietly, “Ms. Conlay, that’s a cat…”
Laila blinked, then nodded quickly. “Mm, a very unique little cat. Great job. Keep it up.”
“Okay, Ms. Conlay,” Pearl scratched her head in embarrassment. Oh no, she really had no talent for this.
These past few days, before going to bed, she had to carefully recall the faces of those two male werewolves ten times. She was afraid her drawing skills would improve faster than her memory faded, so she had to keep remembering them.
