My Alpha Wants Two Lunas? I'M Done (Laila and Holt) novel Chapter 383

Chapter 383 The Long Road to Aurilles

Third person POV.

Terrence froze for a second, then smiled. His white teeth stood out against his dark skin.

Thank you, Marshal. I’ll take my leave”

He swung himself onto his horse. Even though he was injured, his movements were still clean and sharp. His back stayed straight as a drawn blade. The bearing of a soldier had never left him.

Blake watched him ride away and quietly sighed to himself.

Over the years, Terrence had actually admired him. Sadly, fate had cut that bond apart.

He had heard that spies were forced to drink a potion before going undercover, one that severed their mate bond on purpose. It was meant to protect their mates.

That made him think of Victoria. He wondered what kind of reaction she would have if she learned Terrence was still alive.

Back at Ironclaw Pack, Victoria had been keeping a close eye on Laila’s movements.

Ever since she realised Holt’s feelings, she had secretly ordered people to watch Silvermoon Pack.

She wanted to know if that woman would keep trying to seduce Holt

That day, she heard Laila had left overnight. She had also taken Sara with her.

Victoria knew Sara. Her mate had enlisted alongside Terrence, and both men had supposedly died in battle.

Back then, the two women had comforted each other through their grief. But after Victoria bonded with another werewolf, they slowly lost contact.

Besides, Sara was only an omega. Why would Laila suddenly need her?

No matter how much Victoria thought about it, she could not figure it out. So she had people investigate further.

Soon, she learned that William’s older brother had gone with Laila too. That made the whole thing even stranger.

She found Holt and told him everything, asking if he knew more.

Holt glanced at her. “Why are you suddenly so interested in Laila’s business?”

“I’m not interested,” Victoria replied calmly. “I just happened to hear about it and got curious.”

Holt frowned, then lowered his head and continued reading the book in his hands. “Well, I don’t know the exact reason either. But my guess is… maybe her mate was rescued. Maybe he’s still alive.”

Holt had his information network. He told Victoria that Blake and the others had recently been negotiating with Ovila about returning prisoners of war.

Maybe one of those prisoners was Saia’s igate. But his injures were too severe, and he probably would not survive much longer. So

Laila had taken Sorathereto let them meet on last time.

It was only a guess, but Holt thought it made sense.

After hearing that, Victoria sat there in silence for a long white.

She almost asked about Terrence. Could he still be alive too?

Terrence’s situation had been the same as William’s. Their mate bonds had both been severeds

If William were still alive, then what about Terrence?

Victoria parted her lips slightly, but in the end, she could not force herself to ask.

Without another word, she returned to her room. Still unable to let it go, she secretly sent someone to check on the Woodses.

When she heard that Laila had never visited the Woodses and that everything there was completely normal, she finally convinced herself that Terrence was probably not among the returned prisoners. Terrence had probably died.

Meanwhile, in Simonne Town, Samuel and the others had already set out on their journey.

Callum and Finneas escorted them all the way to Aurilles. Since there was no active war at the moment, leaving for a few days was not a problem. Blake did not stop them.

Greer, however, had no plans to stay in Aurilles.

She decided to head back to Frostwind Pack. Samuel’s curse needed to be removed as soon as possible. Still, for this part of the trip, they were all travelling the same road.

Because of William’s injuries, the group could not move quickly. The warhorses moved at a slow pace, barely faster than a casual stroll. Greer and Samuel rode side by side at the front of the group.

“That Vagen…” Greer spoke quietly so only Samuel could hear. “Things are fine as long as there’s no war. But if a war breaks out, Blake will ruin the whole country eventually.”

Greer had sharp instincts when it came to judging people.

She had only met Blake a few times, but she could already tell whether a person was strong or weak inside, brave or cowardly.
