My Drama King Husband (Yvaine and Silas) novel Chapter 13

Feeling completely flustered, she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and refused to let go. That way, he couldn't fully slip the robe off her shoulders. It hung loosely around her, barely clinging on.

He looked at her with an amused little smile.

Her face was burning, but she stubbornly kept her grip on him.

Somehow, being completely exposed felt terrifyingly vulnerable. She had never done anything like this before.

He shot her a knowing look, his hands trailing down the curve of her waist before slowly moving up.

Her body tensed instantly.

Fine, let him touch, she thought. Even if she lacked practical experience, she knew how this process was supposed to go.

It was just... his expression was completely undoing her.

It was so intensely focused, so heated and heavy with pure desire, that it made her want to panic and run.

Sensing her overwhelming nerves, he leaned in and captured her lips again, kissing her with a slow, agonizingly tender patience.

Gradually, she began to melt into it. Her body relaxed, and she started to kiss him back, awkward but eager.

The moment she responded, his restraint snapped. His kisses turned demanding and fierce, completely overwhelming her defenses.

She surrendered instantly, going entirely soft against him and letting him take the lead.

In a hazy blur of sensation, he stripped away the last of her clothes and laid her down on the bed.

The sheets were jet black, providing a striking contrast to her luminous, porcelain skin. Strands of her long, dark hair spilled beautifully across her bare shoulders, making her look absolutely intoxicating.

He stood by the bed and shrugged off his own robe.

With nowhere else to look, she found herself staring directly at him.

In clothes, he always looked lean and elegant, but stripped down, he was undeniably athletic. He had a sculpted chest and defined abs—the perfect example of a man who looked slim in a suit but was surprisingly built underneath.

Her gaze trailed down past his stomach, then snapped back up as if she’d been burned. She looked at his face, her eyes wide with a mix of shyness and genuine alarm.

"I..." She swallowed hard, her voice trembling slightly. "I think we should take it slow. We should let our feelings grow over time, naturally. You know, just let things progress when the moment is perfectly right."

She thought she had been mentally prepared for this. She knew how the mechanics worked. But imagining it was one thing; actually being faced with the reality of it was something else entirely.

The fear of the unknown was paralyzing.

Her hands gripped the dark sheets in white-knuckled fists.

He braced his arms on either side of her, trapping her beneath him. He flashed a slow, wicked smile. "Baby, you want our love to grow over time?"

She nodded quickly. "Yes."

"I completely agree," he murmured, leaning down to silence her with a kiss.

She blinked, entirely dazed.

If he agreed with her, why was he still kissing her?

It took her a long moment to gather her scattered thoughts. She pushed her hands against his bare chest, her face flushed scarlet.

"Didn't we just agree... to take our time?"

He chuckled softly. "Baby, I promise you. I’ll make this take a very long time."

Yvaine's brain short-circuited.

A long time? What did that even mean?

By the time her mind caught up with the double meaning, it was too late. He kissed her again, swallowing all her hesitations and completely dismantling her urge to retreat.

Much, much later, when it was finally over, he carried her to the bathroom to clean up.

While she soaked in the tub, he stayed in the bedroom to strip the sheets.
