My Drama King Husband (Yvaine and Silas) novel Chapter 41

Zachary's eyes were bloodshot. He didn't say a word, his hands shaking so violently that his entire body trembled along with them.

"Zachary, you know me. I never joke around when it comes to relationships," Yvaine said calmly.

"Shut up!" he roared, his fury boiling over. "We haven't even been broken up for two days, and you're already marrying someone else! You have the nerve to tell me you never joke about relationships?"

Yvaine nodded. "Exactly. I don't joke about these things. Which means breaking up with you was real. And getting married is real, too."

"I said shut up!" Zachary bellowed. Unable to control his volatile temper any longer, he violently swiped his arm across her desk, sending files and heavy decorative ornaments crashing to the floor.

The objects hit the ground with a chaotic, deafening shatter.

Yvaine pressed her lips together, watching him warily.

Then, she saw his hand.

The sharp edge of a shattered ornament had sliced into his skin, and deep red blood was welling from the wound.

Zachary ignored the gash completely. He glared at her, grinding his teeth. "Yvaine. No one has ever dared to treat me like this. No one."

She remained silent.

Zachary straightened up, taking a few deep breaths to rein in his erratic emotions. His gaze turned icy.

"You know exactly what happens to people who piss me off," he threatened softly.

She still didn't say a word.

She did know.

In Brenok, absolutely no one who crossed Zachary Lowell ever met a good end.

He stared at her, waiting.
